Clothes got cut up on a fairly regular basis in Kill la Kill, I agree. :)

Though I'm kind of baffled how to make an entry on this one, as the originals are classified as full novels, yet as the English samples show, they're only as long as a good-sized light novel (100-150 pages).

Though given how ridiculous this is, I expect said entry to be filled quickly once the show starts airing.

Strictly speaking, Kill La Kill is a Japanese pun that would roughly translate to "Dressed to Kill" in English. Which is not inaccurate.

Ninja Slayer Anime to Stream in Japan, U.S., Over 20 Other Countries

The anime will debut online on April 16 on Niconico, then air in Japan in 2016.

Does that mean Crunchyroll will get the anime?

Worth noting that being streaming-only is an indication of a lack of confidence on the studio's part. And starting late in the season like that tends to kill viewer numbers. I'm not sure what's going on, but it doesn't look good

Maybe? Rather unlikely, though. It's stylized enough that I'd doubt they'd run into too many problems, and there's channels that'd be willing to run it uncensored anyway

I think the most likely scenario is that they ran into some major production difficulties but were contractually obligated to release something. So they're doing a minor release and waiting until they've cleaned everything up for BD before they put it on TV

They are used to airing stuff online first before B Ds. It happened with Little Witch Academia.

It's kind of pointless to talk about this considering it's all speculation and no official statements have been given. There are many possible reasons why this decision was made.

I'm pretty sure we will get our answer when Anime Japan rolls around in a few weeks.

At least we know it won't be in Funi's dirty, US-only hands.

Hope it won't be like Inferno cop in the next episodes, though it's better than that.

For a drinking game, take a shot everytime someone says a ninja or if you are brave, everytime someone says Yeaaaaaaaart, though I can't guarantee your health.
