Sneak Peak. It shows the penguins' childhoods.

I love the fact that Classified sounds exactly like Martin Crieff. The fact that he's on an aeroplane only makes it better.
3DS Friend Code: 0018-0767-4231Wow, no discussion in over a month? And no one made a trope page for it yet until I did just now? Talk about under-the-radar...
I saw the trailer both times that I saw Big Hero 6.
Also, can anyone help me split up the main Madagascar page into each individual movie? I haven't seen any of them yet, and with so many spinoffs, it seems like we need a Franchise page for the whole series, then subpages for everything else.
Not sure if anyone has posted this video, but here it is
Yeah. This DEFINITELY makes me want to see the movie now! Thanks Dreamworks!

Supports cartoons being cartoony! If it involves the president's wife, expect hateful comments. Good idea turning them off, Dreamworks.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectWell the comments section is disabled, so Dreamworks won't have to worry about that.
Would approval from the president's wife make kids want to see it more? I dont think so. Then again, Dreamworks is probably trying to get the demographic of older age groups who follow politics lol.

Supports cartoons being cartoony!..... you do know that Dreamworks ALWAYS turns Youtube comments off on their videos right? So does Nickelodeon on their channel.
Yeah. Plus I'm still under the consensus that not a lot of kids care about politics. It may be different now though, since I keep hearing that younger people like Obama and Michelle.
True, which I think is unnecessary.. unless the video could spark flame wars.
Supports cartoons being cartoony!... I'm starting to think disabled comments is THE NORM for Youtube channels run by a major company.
Reviews are starting to come out and the critics are saying "...meh."

Some parts of it look good, but I'm willing to admit that this is the side of Dreamworks I don't really like. Dragons is timeless and heartfelt, this will probably... not be. Which is OK I guess, but there are better options COUGH goseebigherosix COUGH

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI'm finding the marketing a bit forced. Like the partnership with Buzzfeed with its ready-made reaction gifs of clips from the film. No, Dreamworks, that is not how gifs work. If your fans love your content, they will make gifs and use them as a way of appreciating your work- providing ready-made stuff feels pretentious, as if we're expected to adore, celebrate and reference a movie before it's even out. Feels like they're exploiting Cumberbatch's popularity with the Tumblr crowd too much, and it's putting me right off.
3DS Friend Code: 0018-0767-4231.... come on. With a name like North Wind in an animated comedy, it was too tempting NOT to crack that joke.
I can understand what people say about it being meh. It doesn't look epic or Oscar-worthy at all, instead it looks like a bunch of lampshade-hanging and slapstick.
So while my mom, siblings, and I were eating breakfast, she turned on that painful talk show called the View.. They had Pitbull (the Mexican rapper) performing a song with the Penguins dancing and playing animated drums. I felt like I was in a dream. Turns out Pitbull made a song for the theme of the movie. Celebrate is the name.
Gotta give Dreamworks some credit. They're able to get the first lady, Buzzfeed, and now the rapper Pitbull to promote their film!
Supports cartoons being cartoony! And The First Lady.
I already mention her
Supports cartoons being cartoony! This movie's gonna screw with my head because I've never seen the movies, only the (seriously underrated) TV series.
Also, why'd they recast freaking Rico of all penguins? He was John DiMaggio in all 3 movies and the TV series; why recast him now?
So the movie came out...is it any good?
I plan to see it shortly after vacation.
Saw it with the folks tonight. Nothing special, but it isn't trying to be. You'll like it just fine if you already like the Penguins. And the lemurs. The only thing I didn't really like was the whole thing with Kowalski and Eva, who weren't so much Strangled by the Red String as outright garrotted by it.
Oh, and do not leave as soon as the credits start. You will miss what might be the best part of the movie.
And since we were discussing this earlier, it's explicitly in continuity with the previous films. One of the first scenes has the ending of Madagascar 3 going on in the background.

Looking for some stories?
Why is everyone saying this is based on the TV show?? Is there proof of this?? Then why do the rendered versions of the Penguins here more resemble those from the movies?
