NZAP '89 coming to the game tonight!

Also, patch 2.1.0 will change up some maps, specifically to Mussleforge Fitness, Moray Towers, and Starfish Mainstage.

Moray Towers and Starfish Mainstage I can easily see the changes, but what about Mussleforge?

Also looks like Shifty Station, at least for the Japan Splatfest will have a Spreader alternating the ink.

And patch 2.1 will be coming on Tuesday night.

This Salmon Run shift was brutal. Three of the weapons are hard to use and all not great to entrust to randoms. cool

I'm done with this one, can't wait for the next.

Oh yeah! The next NA Splatfest. Which "popular" holiday gift would you rather get? Sweaters vs Socks.

It's Inkopolis roulette!

Once again I'm relatively neutral on this.

But what if they're all itchy? I'd rather have the sweater cuz then I can wear a shirt or something under it and not have to scratch all the time

Socks would just be annoying if they're made of that stuff

Tho I suppose there's nothing stating they itch. Still, I would take the sweater.

I'd probably take the sweater. Socks are practical, but the sweater is practical and can come in silly novelty patterns.

I haven't gotten those Christmas sweaters yet but I have gotten a few of those socks in the last few years. I appreciate the socks mainly for the warmth. Cold feet really bug me and I'm far too lazy to just get a pair from my room.

Sweaters do a better job at keeping you warm than socks. However, ponder the following: Marina in tacky candy cane-striped thigh-highs.

Not really related, but sometimes I run into a female Inkling named "Agent 1". Usually she's using a roller. ...Maybe that's where Callie "ran off" to.

I'll have to go with socks on this one. I don't usually wear long sleeves in general. I spend most of my time indoors in places with heating, and when I'm outdoors, that's what coats are for. But socks are something that are useful to me year-round.

I'm glad to see the N-ZAP 89 returning, but also a little disappointed that the Sprinkler is being replaced with Autobombs. The Sprinkler was an integral part of my playstyle when I wielded it in Splatoon 1, and I will miss it.

[up][up]How is a sweater supposed to keep my feet warm?

I'm voting team sock. If only because Marina, and I actually wear socks.

And one other reason that I thought about that Marina mentioned. Socks usually aren't visible under shoes and pants anyway, so it doesn't matter much what they look like.

As I was getting my Splatfest Tee its abilities, I tried out the N-ZAP '89. Despite swapping out the Sprinkler for Autobombs, I still find it quite useful. I felt a lot swifter with it than with the Jet Squelcher, and more accurate with it as well. Often when attacking at long distance with the Squelcher, I'd miss and tip my target off to my presence. But that probably says more about my aim over long distances than about the weapons.

It doesn’t usually get cold enough where I am to wear sweaters comfortably, at least not all day long. It’s usually more convenient to wear a regular shirt and put on a jacket if you need it. On the other hand, my feet get cold easily, so I like to keep a few pairs of fuzzy warm socks around in the winter. Sometimes I use them instead of slippers.

Socks it is.

Frankly, the sprinkler being replaced in general is a plus for me.

A shirt with long sleeves will suffice for me in winters. I have no use for sweaters, especially a tacky sweater.

Damn, why nerf the Brella?

I'm more interested in how they'll be changing the stages.

okay, I just.

I feel like I'm losing interest in this game because of the developers' decision to write Story Mode in such a way that alienated a very large chunk of the fanbase, and how they apparently see no reason to add anything that will make up for it, save for the functionality of the Callie amiibo.

I know the general consensus here is that Callie fans didn't get the short end of the stick at all, but that's exactly how I feel. Maybe it's stupid. Definitely it's stupid, in fact. I still play sometimes, it's just... very hard.

Very large chunk? I don't think you're speaking for that large of an audience.

And I'm just going to say this now: Splatoon was always about the multiplayer first so their decisions in the single player campaign still affecting you now (and not when I assume you finished the Story Mode months ago) doesn't make sense to me.

A large portion? You're definitely blowing stuff way out of proportion. While it would be nice to have more Callie, you can't say that it was meant to allienate Callie fans with a straight face.

Whether or not it was intended doesn't change the end result.

Seriously, how hard was it to headswap Marie and change the textures on her kimono? There's no real excuse for it besides laziness (and/or the assumption that no fans will care because Marie being very slightly more popular automatically means that no one likes Callie ever).

And I don't agree with how you came to that conclusion, but you don't seem like you're going to change your mind on this.

[up]That is the first time I've heard such a suggestion which says to me that must surely be a common sentiment...

It's still an easy fix. It's basically the only problem I have with story mode (I didn't learn about the Squid Sisters Stories until after I beat the game so I didn't go into it with any expectations at all), even if it's a big one.

A bit of plug here, I just came home from a local Splatoon gathering / tournament thing and I was part of "Team Medicine" with a godlike sniper.

Some photos. I'm the guy with the (kinda) squiddor polo and black mohawk-like hair.
