I hate the Blaster. Fires way too slowly, little range, and isn't strong enough to make up for those deficits. Was it nerfed from the first game, or was it always like this?

@No Lim: I think if you earn 10 wins with a given weapon, you get a bonus at the end of the match (points go down for each loss).

Every 5 points per weapon = freshness bonus. Every time you reach the target it increases by 5 to get a new bonus.

Also that person with the carbon roller totally is not me.

I think you were in a couple of my matches last night, unless there's another Malco out there.

There may be, after all it could be sort for Malcolm rather than a Cave Story reference.

Jeez, we had some interesting folks. My team had a guy who thought inking all the walls was a smart idea and the enemy team had a charger who didn't seem to know they could, well, charge.

That's a relief.

And ranked is exactly what I expected it to be; a clusterfuck of mis-matched players. It becomes very obvious who's a C player and an S player.

I see Port Mackerel hasn't changed a whole lot. There's just more obstacles in the hallways.

Woot! One rank up and now I am C+ in splatzones.

So yeah, word of advice to you all: wait on playing ranked for a while. I really want to stress that point. If you play now, you will be faced with the whole spectrum of ranked players. From bumbling C's to "12 damage ups" S's.

@Malco: On the friend list it's just Japanese Teeth though ingame it probably shows up as Jon.

Also Salmon run is crazy. Not a good mode for blasters though. Yikes.

@Strawberry: They've also widened the areas near spawn so it's not as easy to trap the opposing team. In general it's easier to get to the center of the map without getting bottlenecked.

Also I need to check my friend list. I think I linked my Wii U account to it, but I'm not sure exactly how that works. I have the same Nintendo account for both at least.

I disagree about the uselessness of blasters in Salmon Run. They can be great at clearing out large pockets of enemies since a direct hit will still cast blast damage. I got some crazy kills during the nighttime firefly phase.
