Oh yeah, depending on the mode i end up like that too. It's why i had more trouble with tower control for a while, since my instinct was to pounce regardless of my wellbeing.
Yeah, that tends to be my MO too. In Rainmaker I have a tendency to do kamikaze runs to take out the enemy rainmaker, even if the entire enemy team is protecting them if they're on the verge of taking the lead. Doubly so if the rest of my team just splatted. I figure at the very least the time it takes them to break the shield gives the rest of my chance time to get into position.
In Splat Zones and Tower Control I have more sense of self preservation.

Splash.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff. When it comes to Rainmaker, I always try to infiltrate the enemy stronghold and create a path while everyone's distracted. Problem is my teammates keep getting massacred and it ends up being me have to pick up the Rainmaker as well to follow the path I made myself...
For Tower Control I'm either the one on the Tower or I'm up ahead a little and taking out guys that are trying to get to it.
Splat Zones I just do whatever the fuck I want.
My Twitch. One of the things I love about the fandom is the massive amount of squidified Metal Gear series quotes that fit Hero Mode so well. If only we had some quirky miniboss Octolings with gimmicks.
Hey, maybe we could have that for hero mode in Splat2n, we could have essentially something like Foxhound or the Cobras or even the Beauty and Beast corps in the form of Elite Octolings. Could even transition into Octo Gear fights as you defeat them in straight duels and they resort to the Octo Gears in an attempt to defeat you, and each of them wields a unique weapon you add to your arsenal as you best them.
Then one of the lategame boss fights would be against the Octo Sisters, their answer to Agents 1 and 2.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I mean, just give some octolings some of the Inkling weaponry instead of the Octoshot and you're off to a good start.
There's even a gatling-esque and a sniper-esque.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersThat's if the Octos are the antagonists of a second game.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."The end credits imply there's at least some attempt by Agent 3 to integrate the Octolings into modern Squivilization, at least.
I sure said that! Was going through reddit when I found this. Look at those trail boots. Damage up is Inkline's low priority ability. To give an idea just how unlikely you are to get a triple from the rare ability, the odds are 0.0028%.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff. An obsession of mine in Rainmaker recently has been trying to plant a beakon near the enemy goal. Near-pointless on some stages, but on others the goal is a little out of the way...
But you can't superjump with the fishzooka. What's the point?
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Yes you can. You just need to be super laggy to pull it off. Here's a video demonstrating it.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff. So a particularly fucky glitch. Even if that can be considered a legit strategy, it's far too situational.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."It could be used to get back to the rainmaker quickly if it's near the goal or take out the defenders from behind.
This chart helps me a lot. It shows how much ink you have after using a suction bomb with respect on how many ink saver mains and subs you posses. It gives me a good idea of much of either ink savers I should use, especially for the Spamatic and Berry Pro.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.Disruptor to Killer Wail is the truest combo, and I won't let anyone say otherwise!
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."God, what the fuck was that other match Bruno? 1v2? I'm so glad you and your partner didn't troll me. Funnily enough, that round was my highest scoring round compared to every other match we had. Anyway, thanks for the fun.
You clearly haven't tried hard enough. With enough determination, any inkling can punch another inkling.

We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff. It's like almost the entire lobby suddenly decided they had better things to do
And well, it isn't hard to score high when there's no one else on your team to take your turf
...I wonder if squidding to dodge is a valid tactic in squid boxing...

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Wouldn't you be an easier target to hit when in squid form? I'm assuming the arena has no ink to swim around, so you would be rather slow.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.I meant a quick transformation. Punch comes -> Squid down -> Punch misses -> Kid up -> Counter

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I believe that's a super move in that one video game that them squid-kids play. What was it called again? It involved a tiny guy punching various larger opponents or something.
In other news: Callie and Marie.
We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff. It's Little Mac's Cross Counter in Smash, except the kid turns into a squid or a puddle for the "faking getting hit" part.
Actually not a bad idea, the puddle punch/uppercut of Killer Instinct's Glacius comes to mind for what happens afterward.
Were there ever 3d models of Agents 1+2 in the game? Or any concept art about what they were wearing.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!
Pretty much how I play rainmaker.
