This IS Nickelodeon after all. They got away with an alien stealing kids' organs so why shouldn't explosive nosebleeds be any different?

But they canned the alien, and then went on to not buy Adventure Time because it was so violent. Nick is very complicated.

Not to mention the fact that they included a gay couple in the Loud House.

Double Standard, anyone?

[up][up][up]They allowed that...because it wasn't explicitly shown and wouldn't have been that graphic even if it was.

But they Didn't allow a bloody GIR...

[up][up] You speak as if being gay is an Family Unfriendly Thing that makes Nickelodeon Hypocrites because they didnt allow Adventure Time or whatever. I find the gay family more wholesome than anything.

Also Adventure Time and Loud House are years apart, standards have changed since then. As if you can compare the reasons AT was rejected anyways.

Saw the Rule 63 episode. It needs a sequel! Loki, Loni, Luke, Lane, Lynn, Lars, Leif, Lexx, Levi and Leon (And Linka!) were all fun to see, even if they were somewhat stereotypical.

[up] Yeah, I just saw it too. I... wasn't impressed, honestly.

Wasn't the whole point of the Girl Guru episode to teach Lincoln that not all girls have the same likes and dislikes? That's a fine aesop, but it's kind of undermined when Lincoln's sisters can just act like one homogenous girly hivemind whenever the plot tells them to.

Definitely found it weird that none of the girls wanted to go to Dairyland when a previous episode had a conflict where half of them wanted to go to Dairyland and half wanted to go to the beach... because, you know, they don't all like stereotypically feminine things...

Also, haven't the sisters had burping contests before? (And I think Lola won the one we saw.)

Chiming in with my thoughts..... GAME START.

The gender-swap episode (One of the Boys) was pretty forgettable crap, IMHO - it would've worked better if Lincoln were a girl in a house with 10 boys. Maybe then the forced moral they were trying to convey almost might have worked.

The camping trip episode (Raw Deal) was also forgettable crap, IMHO - just Lincoln being a over-worrying twat too much for my liking. I so imagined myself punching him in the face after watching this noise... Just another setup (camping trip episode) done better elsewhere (Clarence (CN), Harvey Beaks, immediately come to mind for me, as examples...).

The supermarket episode (Cereal Offender) was okay, but pretty meh (overall), otherwise - Clarence (CN) did this crap better, IMHO. Hell, Kick Buttowski (Savino's older work - which I don't like, otherwise...) did this better, too. Having all the sisters act like idiots when Lincoln was doing something actually responsible for his family was pretty off-putting. Then again, Lincoln is NOT innocent in this - the way he was shopping, he'd make his family sick from cheap and all that near-expired food, all for some obviously shitty cereal. UGH - I just imagined myself punching him, with THAT in mind.

The only above average-to-awesome episode to come out as of late (IMHO) is (Study Muffin); here's why I feel that way:

  • Lincoln actually is smart, unlike most protagonists in comedy setups like these. His only weakness, and I'm sure we can actually relate to this, which keeps things interesting and entertaining, if not fresh, is that we can relate to his situation - in that sometimes, we can be distracted quite easily, even when we don't mean to.

  • Sure, it was pretty silly to see everyone fawning over the tutor like that and Lincoln had a point there. However, what makes this NOT be lame and predictable is that Lincoln isn't above this as were shown by the end, which propels this one to victory, rather than crushing defeat like the previous episodes crashed into, IMBHO.

Overall, I admit this seemed easily resolved at first, but I don't care - seeing Lincoln win in an actually meaningful way more than makes up for any of that, at the very least.

... And that's all besides the fact that I was actually laughing at this situation this time, as well, simply because it actually does feel relatable and believable here, while also NOT completely forcing the moral in my face.

And with that..... GAME OVER.

I liked all the episodes, but "Study muffin" felt forced. After all, isn't Lori dedicated to Bobby?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. Cereal Offender is probably my least favorite episode so far, mostly because his sisters seemed to mentally regress into four-year-olds once they entered the store. I can kind of understand Lola and Lana acting out, but the rest- especially Lincoln's older sisters- have no excuse. Who taught them how to behave in public?

Yeah, when I saw the description for "Study Muffin", I was pretty actively dreading it, but I was a lot more okay with it than I expected because the episode showed that Lincoln wasn't above fawning over an attractive teacher, as well.

Shit, late to the party here:

  • One of the Boys: This episode is a rehash of that one Dexter's Laboratory episode that Chris Savino was involved with (I think). Right down to the moral where the main character realize that he was better off with sisters instead of brothers, even though it's not much different. Though it is pretty amusing that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are the voice actors for the teenage Louds. Also amusing that this is the second time Greg Chipes did a whole main cast voice cameo in another show (Justice League when he was a part of Teen Titans).
  • Raw Deal: Yeah it was a nothing episode for me. Could of been better if the main focus on Lucy and Lisa instead of Lincoln for this one. Than again that would run risk of being that one infamous MLP episode.
  • Cereal Offender: The girls are real cunts in this episode, aren't they? At least they made it up by getting Lincoln the cereal he earned . . . no I take that back, they shouldn't be acting like cunts to begin with! Especially for the older Louds, they should know better.
  • Study Muffin: Everybody is thinking with their dick! Nuff said.

[up] First off: I meant that as an expression for people who are too busy being turned on by somebody they find very attractive. Nothing to do with their actual reproductive organs.

Second: it depends on what girls you met. Hermaphrodites are a thing.

So, two things:

  • Chris said that a final episode of the Loud House would be about Lori's 18th Birthday.

On a more serious note

  • There's a theory going on that Lincoln is trans. The Loud House staff is actually talking about it behind the scenes. Of course, they would have to change the theme song.
