Well, I think I'd squeeze it in-between "Oh shit, Smoke's going to be turned into a robot!" and "Crap, Scorpion's going to murk Sub-Zero."

And that's excluding the visions we didn't see, like the one Past!Raiden had before he Electric Flied Motaro's ass.

Point being, Dark!Raiden tossed some major shit at his past self without subtitles, without showing an image of Liu Kang falling to the Deadly Alliance, or the zombie Liu Kang, or Noob-Smoke, or Shao Kahn beating his skull in either.

Yeah. He just got out, "HE MUST WIN" and threw a bunch of memories utterly devoid of context at Raiden.

What Raiden got is effectively a giant collage of contextless pictures and three words in huge bold letters painted over them. I don't think Dark Raiden even cherry-picked the images he sent; it was just a random sample of his life flashing before his eyes before his head asplodes.

and really Raiden doesn't even get to process any of the flashes... and the only relevant ones kick in approximately a mere moment before the event being shown happens.

I hope that Wiz Kalifah song is in the game.

It matched the trailer perfectly and I was on the edge of my seat.

I hope they manage to bring back Techno Syndrome as well somehow.

I thought the tone of the music kind of fit, but once the lyrics kicked in I wasn't a fan.

Except Techno Syndrome was never in an MK game. Dan Forden tried to do something reminiscent with The Screw in MK 4, but it was left unused.

I'm pretty sure that Techno Syndrome (and by proxy, the entire album) is technically copyrighted by The Immortals and NRS would have to buy the rights to use it in the game (which they totally should).

I'd love it if they remixed techno syndrome for a final boss theme. Reptile's fight theme too.

Anyone decided what character they plan on maining upon release (based on the current roster)? If I had to choose, it'd be a tossup between Cassie and Ferra/Torr. Leaning more towards Cassie because a. she's Sonya and Cage's daughter, my two favorite MK characters and b. as such she looks like she plays like a merge of the best parts of both characters.

Can't really say given that they've revealed so few characters.

Well between Mr. Clean, Dora and Shrek, Kerrigan, Johnny Blade/Sonya Cage Jr, Sub Zero, and Scorpion...

...I honestly can't say which character I will have more fun using to rip the intestines out of other characters with. The brutality level of their fatalities are evenly matched.

Among the characters we've seen so far, I'll probably go for D'vorah or Sub-Zero.

Wiz Kalifha's a good rapper, like Eminem.

Probably Cassie. She seems like a lot of fun.

Boon is teasing either three character reveals at EVO, or one character from MK3. Hard to tell.

My money is on Ermac. That concept art was fucking sick!

I'm guessing three new characters. If it is an MK 3 fighter, I'd like Rain.

For the record, it's difficult to tell because all he's doing is replacing the letter "e" with a 3. :P

I think Boon's doing a countdown. The last few days he's been hiding a number in his tweets every day. Yesterday it was 4, the day before it was 5, ect.

Technically, they're not, actually.

Ermac's first appearance was Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and Rain was exclusive to the console versions of the same game. So they're part of the MK3 family, but that's not their debut.

Oh? Apparently IGN missed that particular detail. :/

EDIT: With that in mind, he's counting down to the second day of EVO.
