Ahh, so Rin said she was going to kill him, but actually intended to just wipe his memory, and decided against both.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.
I don't think she ever planned on killing him at all. It might have seemed that way cause she was so......aggressive in her approach, but I'm assuming the memory wipe was the end game of her attack from the get go.
She didn't really want to do it though, hence the thing with Rider getting her to change her mind.
One Strip! One Strip! As someone who never played the VN, I was confused about her goal there, because we didn't get any internal monologue explaining it. It was clear from the start that she never was gonna kill him, but I never knew her goal was to wipe his memory.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.In the VN if you screw up there she catches Shirou and wipes his memory. What exactly she intended doesn't really matter though since she obviously doesn't have it in her to kill him.
x4
It wasn't so much that she wanted to make a point so much that she is massively overconfident in her abilities.
I'm disappointed, Tropers. Very disappointedI just found the page for Karna on the Type Moon Wiki; I feel an intense desire to edit the page, but I'm too lazy to do it.
About the episode: Yeah, Shirou's sudden boundless knowledge about Gil bothered me a little too, and Rin's confrontation with Shirou doesn't seem to have changed anything (outside of Shirou's aforementioned selfishness in regards to Rin) and it just overall felt kind of pointless.

If I knew how I know everything I know, I'd only be able to know half as much because my brain would be clogged up with where I know it fromYou know, the weirdest thing about UBW must be that Gilgamesh doesn't kill Shinji five minutes after meeting him.
Do you think they will change some details of the battle in the next episode in regards to the VN? Like Shirou and Rin being more capable in their fight against Kuzuki and Caster? or maybe we will get some flashbacks on Lancers side. Maybe Bazzett will show up
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Maybe Kirei told him to keep Shinji around.
Or maybe Gil always planned to use him as a substitute for Rin as a Grail vessel.
Or maybe he was just in the mood to have someone to laugh at. It's hard to tell with Gil.
One Strip! One Strip! That would be understoodable considering they are using parts of his personality in Zero.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.A King does need his Jester
Besides, considering he threw his Jester from a good 100 meters in the sky out of amusement, he no respect for him.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.I would keep Shinji around. He's best character, after all.
So to those who know the visual novel, which is your favourite route? I would say mine is UBW for the action, characterization and Shiro and Rin's relationship. Fate is not bad, but too simple and romantic for me. I like Saber's character, but I prefer her as a reliable friend than a love interest. I think Heaven's Feel has really good moments too, but is too dark for my taste.

Fate is the best, UBW would be almost as good if not for Archer who I really don't like and HF is bleh.
UBW by far. It's not as basic as Fate or depressingly dark as HF and gives Archer, Lancer, and Caster their better moments.
any particular reason for the Archer hate?
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.UBW, I guess. HF has the best moments in the VN but too much Sakura shenanigans.
I personally liked HF best, partly because it gets into the real background of the story and partly I find Sakura interesting. UBW was pretty good too, but Rin is just kind of annoying. At least it had some more Saber shenanigans, which was a plus.
........
One Strip! One Strip!I'm definitely liking Rin less in the anime since they seem to be playing up her tsundere side more.
Come to think of it, yeah, she's not that great here. Too much tsundere, not enough troll.
UBW is basically Rin is tsundere route
Fate is my favorite in the warm fuzzy sense. UBW is my favorite in the thematic sense. And HF is the best thematic conclusion.
HF has Sparks Liner High.
Who cares how much you do or don't hate Sakura. Sparks Liner High makes up for all of it.
I don't care what anybody else says, and no amount of logic will change my mind.
That being said, I don't actually have a favourite Route. I admit I think that UBW should have been the end instead of the middle, but all of them have their good points, and playing favourites doesn't feel right for me personally.
One Strip! One Strip!
And she didn't even do it right.
She could have jumped him while he wasn't looking and been done with it, but instead she confronted him straight up and made a big chase out of it.
I mean, you could argue she was also trying to make a point, but for all her talk about how naive Shirou was, Rin wasn't exactly a genius strategist in that particular instance.
One Strip! One Strip!
