I want to know what's up with this bandit subplot that gets mentioned in Maria's bio. That and the creepy Lightning Reveal shot that popped up towards the end of the trailer. I don't know why, but that shot really stuck out for me.

Looking for some stories?I found an interview with Guitirrez, but it's in Spanish without subtitles. The t-shirt he's got is cute, though. Does anyone have a good idea for translating this?
I hope someone does. I'd like to read what he has to say.
The bronies are definitely clinging to Xibalba. I guess I can see a little bit of Discord in the character but Xibalba's design reminds me more of the shinigamis in Death Note.
I wouldn't say it's just the bronies, there's been several pieces of just him. His design in general is really cool. And his name comes from the Mayan term for the underworld, which I just found out.

Looking for some stories?I'm actually gonna binge on El Tigre after I finish binging on Randy Cunningham and Whatever happened to Robot Jones. Not sure what really originally pushed me away on the show in the first place.
I remember it being one of the better shows on Nick during its run. SpongeBob was getting really cynical around that time, Wishology was the only major thing FairlyOdd Parents did, Avatar was wrapping up and everything else was either live-action or not that great (or both).

Looking for some stories?I get Guacamelee vibes from the trailers.

Got to draw Xibalba finally. Gave him a assholish smile.
"Why yes, I did kill you. Sorry! "
Looking for some stories?Having recently played Guacamelee myself, that came to my mind too. Made funnier that the Big Bad sounds like Papa Caesar from House Of The Dead Overkill.

Xibalba turned into Good Cop Bad Cop?
I was thinking more along the lines of Evil Gloating, but that totally works too.
Looking for some stories?http://minespatch1.tumblr.com/post/90632060042/animonde-a-new-international-poster-for-book New poster came in. Don't know which one I prefer more. I like the American poster due to showing the city of Remembering while this one shows the cast and gives a good look at Xibalba and Lamuerte.
I like the US poster more. It better captures the sense of wonder that they seem to be going for. On the other hand, it doesn't have Xibalba looking all smug. And on a slightly unrelated note, I kind of like how innocent the posters are. They make this thing look like some kind of cute little Alice In Wonderland type story, not something that requires this directing note.

Looking for some stories?Double posting because this worries me.
Looking for some stories? To be honest, that makes me cheerful with devilish glee. It's like Gutierrez is gonna go George R. R. Martin on this film. What if it'll be like Shane Acker's 9~?
I hadn't ruled out the possibility of a Together in Death ending for Manolo and Maria. But killing all the main characters? How's he going to pull that off? Honestly, Xibalba, there's only so many times you can use that snake before someone remembers that normal snakes don't have a head on each end.

Looking for some stories?I'm not sure but damn does that sounds fascinatingly risky and awesome. Though I'm sure this film will go more in the way of Corpse Bride than 9. Kind of bittersweet but a happy ending.
If it does turn into Kill Em All, then I'm guessing those bandits would be involved in it somehow. Just have them attack the town in the climax and start the bodycount. Or maybe he's planning to kill them all and then resurrect them all. What I'm trying to say is, why can't it be October right now?

Looking for some stories?I think the director is pulling our leg to get some feedback. I REALLY doubt this will end in death -even for the main characters- because it will piss off too much of the audience.
But this seems to be a setting where the mortal cast dying wouldn't be that big a deal, since they'd have all eternity in the afterlife.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatKinda. If I'm remembering m El Tigre knowledge correctly and if this universe's Land of the Dead works the same way, then folks disappear from the land of the dead once they are forgotten.
Or something like that. Will have to go look up some Mexican culture specifically on this.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."
The Espaniol trailer serves the film better but I hope that a second English trailer will give the film a better representation of the story they want to tell. Like Manolo's choices of him being a bullfighter or a musician.
