It's an herbivore. We don't need to fight it, just corral it.

I don't know, herbivores can be fearsome too. They have to protect themselves, after all; no creature just sits around waiting to become lunch. 
You would need an awfully big corral for that big beastie. Ibrox Park would do nicely. 
We would still need a rather large sheepdog to herd them around.

It's not actively hunting us. We need to hide, not fight. Use a helicopter and rocket launchers to scare it, and try to herd it that way.
We could use jaegers as shepherds.
