World Whosball Champion 1945-1991So now that the Created are a force in the galaxy, what do you guys think they use as ships? The Prometheans have to get from place to place somehow and I don't think the Guardians are intended to be used as transports.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.They download copies through slipspace hypercomms.
but HOW?Ah. That's disappointing XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.I'm just making a guess, tbh. They're living programs- I figure they'd try to take advantage of that.
but HOW?True, but the fact that the Infinity was able to escape them means they would have to have something to track them down with. Plus I don't think the Prometheans can just teleport anywhere, either.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Not everywhere but they can go at least anywhere there's Forerunner equipment. Construct a Slipspace gate or a teleporter beacon and they can jump anywhere while still being able to do local teleportation on their own.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Always knew the Grunts were up to something...
World Whosball Champion 1945-1991...Wow.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.That can't be... but it is.
I already want to drive a life-size Grunt mech.
It's like a Mechtoid XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.It's glorious.
...are goblins a form of undead spirit? Not sure if that really fits with the naming conventions.
Then again, Grunt mecha. Yas.
On a different note:
Hello, old friend. It's been a while.
but HOW?The Mantis also separates from traditional UNSC naming conventions, being named after a bug where most ground vehicles get mammalian names. The Mantis, in fact, adheres more to the reporting names of Covenant heavies, which are named for insects.
So it's not too unusual for a radically-different vehicle type to adopt new reporting names.
Krakens aren't undead spirits either.
Maybe the Covenant Remnant's been working towards building things that are more like mythological monsters than ghosts.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.It's not April is it? Cuz....
...yeah that's it, when I get paid next week I'm getting an XB 1 shortly and joining for Halo 5 fun permanently. Battlefield One, Call of Duty Infinite Warfare, go fuck yourselves, I'm going to go get punched by a Goblin!
Wait that didn't come out right.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."Nor will your intestines when you take that Goblin punch, either.
Probably because I'll be bowled over laughing at how hilariously awesome such deaths would be.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights.""Kinetic espionage" XD
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.NICK: That was an order from 343i’s top brass.
GRIM: Ah yes, the horn section.
NICK: Indeed. They wanted the Grunts in Guardians to recapture that essential Gruntiness from earlier Halo games
This. So much. This is what I missed most in Halo 4 and Halo Reach especially. The dialogue! Especially the Grunty comedy.
That was perhaps the only real main weakness of Halo 4. The encounters were good, the levels were good, the weapons were diverse (by modern FPS standards anyways) and the writing and world building was fantastic on its own. But because of that mild decision to keep the aliens....alien and be more uber serious than was necessary the dialogue suffered. The Grunts became boring, the Jackals had just a new skin, the Elites sounded like they had a Conlang for once but still it really should have been English.
It was worse in Halo Reach because most of the Covenant lines were something on the order of screeches, yells and roars of some kind. Especially the Elites.
But in Halo 5 all that changed for the better.
"Allah may guide their bullets, but Jesus helps those who aim down the sights."So yeah, Firefight. It is pretty much everything I could hope for. They include an 8 person fireteam and that means they have to ramp up the scale. Because of that the first wave feels like Halo Reach firefight bonus rounds. In the first game I played when we hit wave three, at least four Phantoms cross by overhead and settled above me. I had a minor freakout because they ended up dropping Hunters on top of me. And the objective based missions work really well, making you maneuver around the entire map instead of just bunkering down. It's a great combination of the speed of Firefight with the objectives of Spartan Ops. My only complaint is that ramping up the respawn to 30 seconds in the last round is a bit much. I'd rather have a more difficult round and a 20 second respawn.
Score Attack is going to be awesome.
