Cast list for HUNT the TRUTH has finally been released.

And it looks like all our suspicions were correct!

I thought I recognized a few of them.

Judging from how urgently Sully wanted Ben to finish this article, it seems these incidents may have happened a while ago. Think about it: ONI prints an article about how awesome Master Chief is, rumors get out that he may have gone rogue; populace is less prone to believe the rumors, having digested this propaganda.

Pet theory on FERO: she's Serin Osman, director of ONI. M'Shak is BB. She's doing this because the Chief has become a liability (in her eyes), she hates the S-II program and wants to see it discredited, and the coming firestorm of public scrutiny gives her an opportunity to clean house of any members of the old guard who might challenge her sometime in the future. The elaborate setup was to both give Ben an audience, and convince him (and them) to trust this new anonymous source implicitly. After all, people are more inclined to believe something if they think they're not supposed to know it.

^ I'm thinking not. Osman would be the fall girl in that case. The "face" of ONI and by extension the "discredited" S-II program.

That's how politics works. The guy at the top takes all the blame. Osman being on top makes her the fall gal.

I wonder if we're gonna see some Halo 5 story at Microsoft's briefing.

Maybe, but not necessarily. Look at how much accountability our current institutions have, and then expand on that. If the head of the NSA could weather PRISM, Osman could weather the fallout from the Spartan program, especially since it was run by her predecessor.

Uh... yeah. I'm thinking that's pretty likely :P

I don't see that happening; seems too risky for an ONI head. Especially since they don't share the same voice actor.

Source on the VA? I couldn't find any record of who her actress was in Spartan Ops. IMDB's got jack.

And even so... maybe the voice of FERO isn't her, but I'd still put money on her being the puppet master. Keeping the operation limited to herself and BB minimizes the chance of a leak. As far as the rest of ONI was concerned, Ben's initial assignment was 100% business as usual.

Huh, weird, no cast credits for who voiced Osman in Spartan Ops. FERO is Janina Gavankar. Says so in the link at the top of the page.

I've lost all track of the story hopefully the game isn't too confusing

^ Story so far:

Ben comes back from vacation -> Hired to do ONI fluffpiece on the Chief -> Goes beyond the call but finds cracks in the story -> Cracks widen, panic and Mshadi shenanigans ensue -> shit gets deep.

I was under the impression it was going to be Jerod,what with him appearing in the Hunt the Signal ARG and all. If they were planing on continuing the stories of Bloodline than why the hell did they kill off Black Team?
