So they're FINALLY getting around to making that. The Kestrel was originally what was going to be the Hornet in Halo 2.
Gotta say, hope the Kestrel doesn't make it over to the main series UNSC doesn't need a Ghost.
If they could bring over the Vulture, though...
Wooooooow. What all is it for? XD
EDIT: Oh, unlocking multiplayer. Okay.

Because they've filled every available slot of memory on the game disc and still didn't get everything in.
^ So they pushed the limits of the DVD itself? Not bad considering they could have just cut it up into like 5 discs.
It's a Bluray, actually.
The game+patch will take up something like 1/5 of the consol's complete memory, right?
Nope. Assuming it's all new content, and none of it overwrites the existing 45 gigs, that's still only 65 gigs, which is less than 1/5.
Halo 2 won't be 1080p due to the ability to switch between the different engines.(I've been slacking off on posting the news in the threads these last 2 weeks)
Right, I was counting with the system updates.

-Heavy voice- Not big surprise.
Interesting overhaul to Coagulation, to the point they are calling it Bloodline as it is more of a remake of the original rather than just an update. In reality, the biggest change is the center bunker, as that wildly changes the flow of the map and lets people hang out in the center if they so choose. The bases themselves with a bridge cover and even the EMP is more cosmetic than anything else.

They always rename the maps, actually. The MCC ones are called Warlord, Lockdown, Zenith, etc. And yeah, Bloodline looks great, though it could stand to be a bit more colorful.
I guess that was the first time I heard them actually talk about the rename rather than just calling it a remake of the original map.
Looks like the Flood are possibly taking on some new forms (and possibly playing a new variant on their old "selective infection" trick, except humanity is the Pheru this time around).
28 Times Supreme Champion of the World Whosball SeriesIf you're referring to the dude who turned into worms, I've got money on that being a Lekgolo colony.
Moved too fast for that; also, this◊ is what it looked like before turning into worms; much more similar to a human combat form in shape than a Hunter. Of course, Precursor space magic fusing together humans and Lekgolo could be in play; I'd otherwise normally say that it might just be an infected Hunter (finally!), but the bioweapon apparently isn't yet targeting Covenant, though I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up doing so sometime before or around Halo 5 (its seeming reference in the Escalation previews as well suggests it has a bigger role to play in the overall story).

28 Times Supreme Champion of the World Whosball SeriesAh, but these are Lekgolo outside their armor. Whose to say they wouldn't assume a human-esque form as a decoy or a lure? We've never seen them act individually before.
Besides, Lekgolo can't be infected by the Flood. Apparently their nervous system isn't wired right, somehow.
I think the big thing, though, is that the Covenant do not look to be the main enemy of Nightfall, and that scene likely takes place on the Halo fragment, where I suspect the bad guy focus switches from Covenant to Flood/some other Precursor based monstrosity. And while Hunters apparently can't be taken over by infection forms, the Flood historically seem to have had more than one way to pluck a Jackal, so to speak. I mean, I suspect The Forerunner Saga was setting us up for a Flood/Precursor return in the "current" time period, and Nightfall is a perfect place to do so.
28 Times Supreme Champion of the World Whosball SeriesOh, yeah, I totally agree that the Precursors are going to end up being the Big Bads of Nightfall, at least in some capacity; who else would be able to create an element that's toxic only to humans?
I'm just talking about the worm thing.
This will be interesting...a horror series or at least one filled with high-tension and possibly frightening situations?
Escalation 11 is out, plus the official Nightfall trailer.
Looks like the militia commander is an ex-Spartan of some kind.

28 Times Supreme Champion of the World Whosball SeriesQuestion: Will people be playing Halo 1, 2, or 3 multiplayer from the Collection?
Since Spartan Assault gave me fits at some points Idk if I'll get it or not XD
