What, her choosing Richard over Galavant? It's been one of the major points of the trailers since the show was first announced.
Seriously? Last page just called her "Girl in distress" and I have only seen the trailers listing off the stars in the thing.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Alan Menken did the music for this? Interesting.
So far, it's looking like Galavant's "true love" might be shaping up as the Big Bad or something.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. She's definitely looking like she's up to no good at any rate.
I really hope ABC doesn't use the Galavant song every commercial.
(V)(;,,;)(V)Yeah doing the jester and wanted that Valencia jewel and getting her husband to torture the king and queen.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSo I think Richard may turning out to be my favorite character somehow, oddly enough. Go figure.
He's certainly a real fun villain, if nothing else.
EDIT:
As much as I agree with you, I've got a bad feeling that they've taken the initial hype to heart and are probably going to keep using it for the rest of the night at least.

In the immortal words of Miracle Max, there is no cause nobler than revenge.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSo the commercials got pretty old after the first few times they used them, but otherwise that was pretty dang great.
Dat jousting scene. Oh lord dat jousting scene.
ok boomerReality Ensues from a rapid-fire training montage is not something I would have seen coming.

I liked the twists. And the performances are fun. Did not know it was by the same creator as The Neighbors until after I saw the show. Knowing that explains a lot of things I noticed that puzzled me at first. Not puzzled any more.
That was delightful. The rape joke was gross, and yes, "your mom" jokes are getting old. Even if you lampshade them.
But still, this looks like it will be really fun.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I actually appreciated them calling out "Your Mom" jokes as being worn out, personally. But then, I've never been a fan of them so I'll rarely not appreciate when they're the butt of a joke of their own.
I keep wondering if Galavant is, after getting himself back into some semblance of shape, going to turn into a Darkwing Duck kind of character: badass, but coming off as bumbling much of the time anyway (until those moments where he gets his head on straight) because even though he is badass, he's nowhere near as badass as he thinks he is.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Well, from what little we saw in the opening, he used to be exactly as Bad Ass as he thinks he is.
One Strip! One Strip!Yeah, but he isn't now - and he likely isn't going to be so for much of the plot (since most of the show's humor seems to come from him).
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Wow. I enjoyed that a lot more than I thought. The songs are, they have a good rhythm and singing, but they're not catching me. I also get the impression that a number of them were shortened for some reason. Namely, if you watch that first song with the King, you can very clearly see where they probably cut out a verse or something.
They probably had to be trimmed for time.
I like the songs, they're catchy and really funny. They feel very... Spamalot.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Maybe we'll get extended versions of the songs if they release the show's soundtrack or on certain versions of the home release.
On which note, there's a part of me that wishes they have a singalong option for the DVD.
The show actually has a Vevo channel of Youtube, which has "lyric videos" that are basically singalongs.
Sadly, it doesn't have the song from the beginning of episode two, or any of the reprises of the main theme.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I could see this being pretty successful onstage at some point in the future.
ok boomer
Well, didn't see that coming.
