It's funny. I have the opposite reaction between this and Flash. I look forward to Constantine while Flash is just there.
Constantine is great at individual scenes, but it absolutely fails at connecting them in a coherent, natural manner. I can watch the trailers and sneak peeks and like them just fine, but it's the main reason I hate watching full episodes.
Looks like we won't see Swamp Thing on television again...
So much for no smoking.
Seems like the Monster of the Week is a Kuchisake-onna.
And look, it's Jim Corrigan!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! The ratings went up compared to last week.
It had a 1.1 in the demo compared to last weeks 0.8 in total initial overnight numbers, the show had 3.54 million viewers for the hour, and kept 85% of Grimm's lead-in, its top retention since the series premiere. The show also had its highest rating since the series debut.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureBut was it any better than the previous episodes?
just saw the latest episode. I hope this show wont get canceled, if for no other reason that I want to see a live action spectre
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoI for one have been enjoying Constantine from the start, but notwithstanding my personal feelings about the show I recognize it's probably not going to be on for long. First, it airs on Friday night, which is second only to Saturday night for "worst time slot." Second, for all that Swamp Thing and especially Hellblazer were Long Runner success stories in the comics field, for those who don't read comics John Constantine simply doesn't have anywhere near the name recognition that the Flash or Batman (or even, in Gotham's case, Batman's supporting characters) have.
So my attitude towards the show is: If it continues to climb in the ratings, enough to justify a second season (or at least a complete first season), wonderful. If not...well, I'll have enjoyed it while it lasted.
Season 1 is only going to be 13 Episodes.
NBC shares that time-slot with Hannibal so it was always only going to be 13 episodes.
There is a spoiler in the article the actress that plays Zed said the last scene she shot involved Constantine, The Spectre, and her.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureBologna. Hannibal is trash. Cancel it immediately and give all its resources to Constantine!
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I've finally caught up, and I can definitely say this show improved a lot. The pilot shows promise, the second episode isn't bad but very by-the-numbers, as is the third, but the fourth showed Constantine at his best, his tricky, manipulative best and the fifth just followed suit.
By God do I hope this show isn't cancelled.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Well, that was an episode. Interesting twist on the whole possession thing.
You fell victim to one of the classic blunders! This episode was pretty standard until this week's plot twist, which was, again, very well-thought. It's cool to see more of Manny and the angellic side of things.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."It was awesome to see Manny finally be something other than an exposition dump.

“It’s not dead, at all, it’s solidly in contention for a second season of NBC, which is still supporting it...It gets big numbers on DVR and online views, but it is sort of a tweener that doesn’t fit the traditional viewing box at the big networks...If I were a betting man, I would say there’s an excellent chance for a second season.”
Here's hoping.
Let's hope Constantine can scam his way out of this one too.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Ahem. Hannibal is an excellent show and anyone who says otherwise will be enjoyed with a nice chianti XD
This seems to be a situation where NBC really wants this show to succeed but is having trouble trying to justify keeping it around. Unless I'm mistaken it still hasn't gotten an order for the back 9.
It isn't getting a back nine NBC stopped production at 13 episodes.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI know. I thought that was generally a sign that a show was going to get canned.

Usually but sometimes certain shows end up getting renewed. If some of the mid-season replacements fail Constantine could still get a second season.
NBC already cancelled A to Z and Bad Judge.

Take it for what it's worth.
Watching the newest episode now.
Spanish mom, We Hardly Knew Ye.
Eh, I won't really miss it. It's not necessarily a bad show but it's fairly bland. It doesn't grab me the way Gotham and Flash do. I'll give it another episode or two but unless it really turns around I might just skip it.
