OH MY GOD
OH MY GOD
YES YES YES YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :D :D :D
(Ruby was my first video game ever, for the record. :P)
but HOW?Hoennbabies everywhere.
I wonder what we're going to be calling 4th/5th/6th genners in the future.
November. That's not too far away.
They never travel alone.FOOKIN' POKEYMANS.
I'M GOING TO BUY A WHOLE LOTTA TRUMPETS AND KEEP THEM IN MY MOTHER FLIPPING SECRET BASE.
Secret bases have been replaced with more trumpets and water routes.
I have a message from another time...YES. AT LONG LAST YES.
Groudon vs Kyogre in 3D. Please do this.
I know what I am asking for for my birthday in November.
Stupid doomed timeline...They should have just skipped ahead to Sinnoh. The way the original Hoenn games were designed, there's absolutely no way to expand upon them.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Hell yes. My favorite Generation overall. Had some really neat designs, really fun Gym Leaders, and some pretty good Legendaries~
But sea is vast and wide. They can expand on stuff if they want to (like say Regis sidequest).

Continue the bloodline, Fujimaru! You don't just, skip generations.
Plus Hoenn was awesome. Visually it's one of the most interesting generations and I'm really interested in seeing how 3D will make it look.
They didn't have to skip generations. Actually, they could have skipped the Hoenn remakes and made Kanto remakes instead. At least those games would be Generation 3 by proxy and those games actually have room for expansion.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. The last thing Kanto needs to be is remade for a 3rd time. I started with Pokemon Red in 1998 and I am sick of seeing it.
Damnit Nintendo, always back-loading content in the year. Smash Bros for the Wii U will likely be that month...
Generation by proxy is still ignoring one. It's more logical to remake each in order. Kanto got great remakes. So did Johto. Hoenn was obviously going to get a remake eventually. And it's going to be awesome. Especially since I have no doubt they'll fix things up. Possibly more Steel types available to combat the Tentacool's obnoxious poison.
Another Kanto remake? No thanks. Hoenn was beautiful, and I'm really looking forward to seeing it reimagined in a 3 dimensional space.

It might be a little early to mention this, but I really hope the bosses keep their original teams, or at least their original Pokemon count. I'm going to be really annoyed if they get limited to three Pokemon (or four Pokemon for the Elite 4).
Icon by Civvi the Civilian!...I think my heart skipped a beat when I first heard about this. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing...
boop I'm more active on hereThank god I finished the Gen 6 Pokedex. I now have no reason to buy this and relive the boredom of 3rd Gen.
SHUN THE NON-BELIEVE-lolnotreally.
But seriously, a big, dumb smile spread across my face when I saw this trailer.
On my wave, passing oooooooonIt's universally agreed that Hoenn was the weakest of the regions. A remake is not going to fix that. EVER.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. Not agreed by me. Hoenn is one of my favorites!
To each their own, I guess.
Might want to back up that wide brush you painted.
...Do we really need the "Hoenn Remakes for the 3DS" in the thread title? It's awfully long already.

I figured we might as well have a thread for it.
Coming worldwide November 2014.
"Oh great! Let's pile up all the useless cats and hope a tree falls on them!"
