It makes me sad that at the time, pretty much all the Macross Frontier fics were about shipping and not the totally badass mecha combat.

It's more emphasis on story and fighting than in the actual love triangle.

I kind of want to do an Evangelion / Macross 7 oneshot where the Macross 7 fleet somehow comes upon NGE-Earth just as Third Impact is happening, and Basara demands of Giant Naked Rei, "ORE NO UTA O KIKKE!" and basically rocks NGE!humanity back into existence.

Something that came to me today. Suppose a human fleet runs into a remote Zentradi fleet, try the culture shock trick via music... and the Zentradi unexpectedly respond in kind. With this:
In short, Zentradi who decided they like Warhammer 40000 more than J-Pop. For extra hilarity, these Zentradi Astartes then laid the smackdown on another race while in their new wardrobe, resulting in the other race mistaking the WH 40 K motifs for real.

I also made a thread for the story in Spacebattles in case anyone from the site goes there.
This thread is for fanfics and stuff related to the Macross franchise released from Japan.
I will make it clear that this is NOT for any fanfics related to the Harmony Gold-made Robotech franchise since they are different to an extent (Aside from some changes made in the Macross story arc). There, I hope you guys at least read the TT pages on these two as a precaution.
Feel free to use this thread to talk about good stories or any ideas worth writing on, even with crossovers. If you should find an interesting story worth sharing, post the link here. Also, feel free to use the thread to ask questions related to Macross canon stuff in case you need to check on them prior to writing your story.
I do wish to recommend to readers a FSN and Macross Frontier story called Wings of Frontier
where Shirou infiltrates SMS and gets involved with the Vajra and a conspiracy to overthrow the legitimacy of President Glass. Also gets into techothriller territory sometimes, which I love.
One more thing, I need to ask someone really familiar with the Macross franchise if whether the UN Spacy forces exists as the only legitimate military force after the events of SDF Macross. I need to check them again.
