I mean, Atlanta is becoming a bigger hub of production.
And I know Cartoon Network's HQ is there.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Adult Swim used to have a lot of Atlanta-based talent for their stuff. Maybe there's a chance yet.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I watched Apple and Onion, and the biggest problem to me is that there seemed to be very little emotion in the voice acting. The guy who played Beef Jerky at least had a memorable voice, but everything else just seemed like they went in and voiced the characters with their normal voice, without any changes.
Sheep In The Big City was partially produced in New York because its creator Mo Williams lived there and still collaborates with some collegues on his new work, mostly shorts and children's books.
Hey, Williams Street, the hub of Adult Swim, still operates in Atlanta.

Augenblick Animation (who did Superjail before Titmouse took over) was NY based, wasn't it?
It STILL is!
I would not doubt that they now have at least another satellite studio elsewhere.
Pledge to their crowdfund so they can finish animation on their upcoming R-rated indie film!
Just saw a t-shirt that had Chicken from Cow and Chicken on it, with the caption "Made in the '90's".
Thought that was pretty good.
This had to have been an unofficial shirt...
Amazingly enough, it is. It was made in England... but all the pictures I can find say "LAID in the 90s."
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."That may have been what it said. It's entirely possible I misread the caption slightly,

Ugh, I can't wait for all those stupid "'90S KID!!!!!!1!1!×!1×!×+" things to die off.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. That's the same thing I said about the "Totally 80s" craze, yeah it's not going to die off. Plus like the 80s, 90s hold a lot of sentimental values in terms of animation and video games.
Don't Judge me, need more views: https://www.deviantart.com/big-k-2011 | https://bigk1337.newgrounds.com/ | https://twitter.com/BigK64133Those of us tired of it (like myself) wish it were that easy to get rid of, soldier.
New Web Browser, same old Shokew.<cracks fingers> You got a problem with 90's kids?
Ya, I'm weird like that...Maybe those annoying, annoying people who tote it around as a badge of honor.
Nostalgia's fine, but don't be so annoying about it.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Is it any different than the 80's kids? Or the people who tote modern cartoons as a gift from God?
The 90's made me, and I will never forsake it.
Ya, I'm weird like that...It's not necessarily any different from "80's kid" or any other person who acts like the decade they're born is the best ever.
I find those people just as annoying, so... no, it is no different.
You can say stuff like "There were more good cartoons in the 90s" - and I reply, that's because there were more outlets for cartoons in the 90s. Saturday morning wasn't dead yet.
...So maybe in a way the 90s were better, after all.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Who don't you find annoying Aldo?
Ya, I'm weird like that...Amazingly enough, Jerry Lewis.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Also because cable was still in that wild west phase, there were more outlets in cable because there were more generalist networks that hadn't found a niche and were sponsoring animation as part of a range of offerings, and nobody really knew what to do with the freedom of not having to answer to regional affiliates or the FCC (Standards still existing for the cable networks, but much more lax).
But then when you compare that to the modern day you have to take into account diversity in modern channels. People are hesitant to declare that web animations "count," much like how mobile and indie video games often don't "count" (and i'm guilty of this kind of thinking myself), but you have to consider it when comparing the modern era with what came before.
Oh ok. Cool then.
I keep seeing all this Steven Universe hype and here I am posting gifs of 90's cartoons. I don't see the big deal with SU. But that's just me.

Ya, I'm weird like that...The "80's kid" and "90's kid" crazes are just different iterations of the "In my day, pie tasted better!" line of codger-dom. And it IS annoying, especially for folks who are young right now. I imagine their thought much be "thank's for spitting on my life, grandpa."
I like a lot of cartoons from the 80's and '90's, but Aldo is quite right in that there were more outlets for cartoons, and there were more studios producing them. I don't say they were better overall, because then as now, most of what you got was a lot like everything else you got.
You could say that there's diversity on the web because there is no diversity on TV. Of course, eventually the web will be tamed...
The original 90s kids had to have been people who ranted about how better life was when Grover Cleveland was in office.
More shows would nominally equal more good shows. Unfortunately, as the 90s wore on that ceased to be true, especially at the close of the decade and Saturday morning providers stopped caring...

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."The real irony is that a lot of the current wave of "90's kids" posts are actually shows mainly from the 2000s (early Spongebob, Samurai Jack, PPG), and that actual 90's shows are more a la pre-Pokemon Fox and Disney Afternoon.
But I guess 00's kids doesn't have the same ring to it.
Well I dunno what you're situation is but if you ever have the chance to be a VA I'll be rooting for ya. You would probably have to move though to be closer to something like that. I kinda get ya though, I like the state I am in and I don't plan to ever move but I want to create an animated show or two eventually and that's not gonna be easy by me staying put. But I'm definitely gonna still work towards that goal. Maybe we'll cross paths or even work together someday.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"
