Possibly; it depends completely on the specifics. I like the idea of apocalyptic settings; I rarely like the specific examples, though, and the execution even less.

I'll attempt to answer both questions at once:
I'm going to keep the cause fairly vague at first, but as time goes on it will become clear. There won't be any obvious demons and such, if that's what you're wondering. The characters will be GERT operatives, traveling to disaster spots around the world, desperately trying to hold things together as things get progressively worse.

Throughout the history of mankind, many have predicted the end of the world. Armageddon, the apocalypse, Ragnarok—whatever you call it, it all amounts to one thing: the last page of the book of human history. Thankfully, they've all been wrong so far.
The year is 2020. The global geopolitical situation has worsened. The environment is in shambles. The greatest superpowers of less than a decade ago are beginning to fall apart. Strange astronomical events are causing global chaos, with tides and rouge meteor showers and isolated solar storms causing destruction.
We are the Global Emergency Response Team (GERT). We don't what is going on, but we can no longer deny what is clear. Humanity is facing the worst disaster in history since the dinosaurs were wiped out.
February 2nd, 2020. The end has begun.
Hello there. I always did like post-apocalyptic and dystopian fiction, because I'm a cheerful guy. Yet, I always thought they skipped the interesting part: The actual apocalypse. This roleplay is meant to remedy that. And it is totally not to cash in on the Four Blood Moons.
So, anybody interested in a romp through the end of the world?
