How to categorize this works page?

I'd like to create a works page for the Playhouse 90 adaptation of Heart of Darkness, but I want to make sure I use the appropriate namespace and approach.

To clarify: this is an episode of a Genre Anthology series, and it's nearly feature-length (90 minutes including the commercials), so I'd be inclined to put it under Film as though it were an standalone telemovie. OTOH, that would not only be slightly inaccurate, but would also interfere if in the future someone wanted to make a page for the 1990s adaptation (which really was a standalone telemovie).

The only alternative I can think of is making it an episode recap page, but to do that, would I have to create a primary entry for Playhouse 90 itself? That is not something I'm prepared to do.

Hmmm. I think what I would do is make it a film page, with a disambiguation tag in the name. Something like

Film.HeartOfDarkness1958,

Film.HeartOfDarknessTeleplay, or

Film.HeartOfDarkness1958Teleplay,

then use the custom titler to make it display as simply "Heart Of Darkness"

Assuming the wiki was complete, we would have Series.Playhouse Ninety (custom-titled to Playhouse 90), along with a recap page for each episode. Since the website has a limit on title names, I prefer using the Season&Episode codes for pages.

With that in mind, I think the page this should be at is: Recap.Playhouse Ninety S 4 E 07

But the page also needs indexing now, not just when the wiki is complete. So here's what I figure: Put the page on one of Madruga's suggestions (I prefer Film.Heart Of Darkness 1958), put a redirect to the film on page Recap.Playhouse Ninety S 4 E 07, and Red Link to Series.Playhouse Ninety for when someone does feel like making the page. Maybe a random Red Link to Series.{{Playhouse 90}} (Series.Playhouse 90) just in case that page is made without checking first.

Much later, when the series page is actually created and the recap pages are getting made, the redirect and page can be flipped.

I can actually start working on a page for the series over the next couple of days. That will make Samaritan's recap idea feasible, and the page can be moved there once I've got the series page launched.

If I'm understanding you guys right, it might make more sense for me to keep working on my piece offline (I'm not nearly done with it anyway) and launch it as a recap to begin with, obviating the need for a temporary page in Film.

That works too. You can also work on it in the Wiki Sandbox (click this link and use that page: Sandbox.Playhouse Ninety Heart Of Darkness) so you can make sure that your formatting and markup is correct and that it looks the way it should. Pages in the process of being made like yours are one of the reasons the Sandbox exists.

I should have at least a stubby start on the Series. page by the end of the day tomorrow, if all goes well.

Since each movie is still technically an episode (quotes, not italics), I think the crosswicking would be typed this way: "Recap/PlayhouseNinetyHeartOfDarkness" and after custom titling, the episode wicks would look this way: "(Playhouse 90) Heart of Darkness"
