lol episode. The "shocking sight" that makes Shun want to call off the duel is that one of Crow's kids falls from their perch and ends up clinging to Crow's monster for dear life. Shun's heart grows three sizes that day for he saves the kid and when the duel is resumed he loses, but he and Crow become bros in the process.

Such a lame way of losing fits my perception of Shun well.

Bird bros unite! That being said, it was nice to see a new side of Shun after so long. I think he needed it. I guess Yuya will duel Crow, because he has to regain the latters trust, and that of the Commons as well.

Also, it looks like Tsukikage will run into Sora while he's protecting Yuzu. That's gonna be awkward.

I already made a case for why Yuya dueling Crow makes the most sense.

Sam will sabotage Yuya's Duel Runner to help Crow and punish Yuya for his (non-existent) betrayal

Because lets face it: Sam is dumb, and right now, he's bitter enough to really think Yuya betrayed him, so I can see it happening.

I don't think Sam would resort to that though. Shinji already accused the Tops of rigging his duel with Yuya, Sam actually rigging Yuya's D-Wheel would just make the Commons look like a pack of cowards.

Yeah. It's kinda weird to see the story saying that the ones who are oppressed are just as bad as the oppressors.

It's like saying that the poor deserve to be poor. That doesn't happen very often.

It's not though? Shun protecting children fits perfectly in line with what we've seen of him thus far.

That said I don't like this episode. Shun should have won rather than have the show pander to 5D's fans. Crow's already ruined one show, I don't want him ruining another.

Well, prove they are is what I was getting at.

Fair enough on both points (though Crow ruining 5d's is really not his fault (the Aki thing was her actress having less time to be in the show I believe).

Also, we've already pointed out that it makes sense for Yuya to duel Crow, due to the stuff with Shinji that's going on right now. That's an issue that needs to be settled.

Honestly I'm happy that Shun lost because I wouldn't be able to take another duel of his seriously any time soon.

Plus Crow is not even close to as bad as he was in 5Ds when it came to taking spotlight.

And Carlys Japanese Voice Actress was in a cult.

Duel 82. AND ACTION!

• Raid Blackwings unison! The best outcome, no matter who lost.
• From one prison to another. Yuuya sure spent a lot of time in this dimension locked up, huh?
• Next time, Yuzu's gonna outrun the authority.

"Sora will mislead and betray you because he's from Academia, I know this because I too am from Academia." Roger needs to work on his sales' pitch.

So next week Yuzu and Sora are tag-teaming Security. Snatching her out of midair is one thing, but managing to retrieve her entire deck from the D-Wheel in the few seconds before it crashed and blew up? That's impressive.

I assume he just summoned a Furnimal to cushion Yuzu on impact. If Yuya can use Discover Hippo to hold people down, he could easily do that.

So the Finals are almost certainly going to be Yuya vs Crow, and Yugo vs Sergei. The latter makes me wonder what the hell will happen with Yugo emotionally during that duel...

Episode 83:

Security gets killed by a dance number. That's a new low. And Tsukikage puts vengeance aside for the sake of his mission.

Nothing much more to say except we all know that all their plans and shit won't mean a thing once Academia just steam-rolls everyone.

You neglected to mention that Rogers plans to brainwash Yuya by putting that same chip he put in the members of Security into him which seems to me like a pretty big deal.

Well, I guess that means my feeling was correct. Now the only question is how it's going to play out. The obvious answer is that Yuya will escape before Roger/Roget can do anything to him. But the interesting answer is that Roger/Roget will actually be successful in chipping Yuya. If it's the latter, then, oh boy, am I curious to see how this goes.

I had to neglect that part.

I don't know Japanese. I knew he had something in mind in connection to Yuya and Sergei though, but I didn't know about that part until I actually looked at the recap page.

I stand by my belief that Roget's interference has completely sunk The Lancers mission, which has been a disaster from the get-go.

Just watch Yuya overload the chip with his Egao like Sergey overloaded his limiters with sadomasochism.

So it occurs to me that Yuya's mom telling him to believe in his fathers methods might have been a good thing after all.

If she hadn't done that, he might have gone into battle more hardened, and while it hasn't exactly worked out all that well so far, he might not have been able to believe in Sora if that had happened, and Sora might not have 95% completed his Heel–Face Turn.

I say 95% because when he says he's still loyal to Academia, I believe him, but right now, his loyalty to Yuyu and Yuzu is stronger, and that might not have happened if Yuya threw away any chances of making him smile and believing in him as a friend.

Now it looks like Sora is gonna pay it back in spades.

Also, Yuzu is heading to the Underground, which is the last place any one would look for her, and Yuugo doesn't even seem to be on Jean's radar, which will make things interesting depending on what happens.

Duel 83. AND ACTION!

• There has been reports of Security members suffering critical injury by being mesmerized by a dance between a diva and a chimera. Be extremely careful.
• Sora's new mission: Save Yuuya before brainwash time.
• Tsukikage was out for blood, but he'll put that aside for now. Keeping Yuzu from Roger's eyes is more important.
• Speaking of, Yuzu's going to the Underground. Ignoring Roger's methods, it's about time she went down there. She lost, after all. Society's rules and all that.

Episode 84:

Yuugo is persistent, I'll give him that. How many times did he get punched in the face?

Roget is outright rigging the fight in Selena's favour. I'm surprised she's not catching on....or she might be. I'll know when it's translated.

And Yuuya and Yuugo synchronise again. I wonder how Yuuto feels about that. Anyway, things will get interesting soon I imagine.

She is not catching on even though Roget is not making any effort at discretion.

I loved the humor in this episode. At first, it was weird that he mistook Serena for Rin instead of Yuzu, but it really worked for the episode. Rin's voice was really cute as well.
