I honestly didn't know if you could read an opponents card during a duel in this series, what with all the holograms and being a yard away from your opponent. Arc-V is the first anime to confirm you can.
Well, strictly speaking the GX manga had Alexis look at one of Bastion's face-downs when they were partners in a tag duel, which is I think the chronological first example of this sort of thing.
That being said.
WHAT THE EVER-LIVING FUCK, WRITERS
THERE IS LITERALLY NO EXCUSE FOR SOMEONE NOT KNOWING WHAT THEIR OPPONENTS CARDS ARE EVER AGAIN IN THIS SERIES
THIS APPLIES RETROACTIVELY AS WELL
GGGGAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH
Seriously though what the fuck.

I think GX had a scenario where an opponent won and didn't explain how as he walked away, forcing his opponent to read the card.
Also, next week's episode preview reminds me of the last episode title for Joey's battle against Yami Marik in the Duel Monsters anime.
It was hilarious because the next episode preview was so hopeful and then Next Episode: Jonouchi Dies. Way to spoil the drama in the title XD
The Protomen enhanced my life.Reminds me of how Mizar jobbed to Donand Shark, Yuma, and Astral had to figure out how.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Don forced Mizar to OTK himself. Sartorius and Z-One did that too.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Being fair, it was clear that Don Thousand was just making up effects as he went along.
Also, Numeron Network wasn't actually on the field for the first part of the duel. Don Thousand was using its effects remotely until Astral went looking for it.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!I remember in the GX anime, when Judai and Asuka had a tag duel, Asuka read Judai's facedown card before using it.
Did Yuya read the card before he saw what it was, or after it was activated?
It better be the latter, otherwise the writers have pulled the most boneheaded of boneheaded moves.
Also, I just realized something about Kurosaki and Ruri.
Remember how when Kurosaki first showed up, we all thought he was the Kaiba expy (along side Reji)?
We were wrong. He has a younger sisters, and is best friends with Yuto (who's Yuya's alternate, and Yuya is the Yugi / Judai / Yusei / Piece of shit YUMA expy.
Kurosaki is the Arc V counterpart to Shark. It's harder to see due to his use of birds instead of Sharks, but it's there. It's so damned clear now too.

One Strip! One Strip!I never thought Shun was a Seto Expy.
No. He's Shark. Best friends with his version of the hero and a younger sister.
This also makes him similar to Jounichi.
Hell, his initial antagonism towards Yuya could be seen as similar to both Jounichi and Shark's initial dislike towards him.
One Strip! One Strip! That's why I said I never thought it, because I didn't think it was true.

Double post because I've had a bit more Fridge Brilliance (I should put some of this in the page for Arc V):
The arcs that take place on each of the past worlds somewhat reflects some of the arcs of the previous series:
- Synchro is about closing the gap between the poor and the rich (without the detail of the Dark Signers).
- XYZ is about fending off invaders (Fusion instead of the Barians).
- And I assume Fusion will be about stopping the merging of worlds (with the extra point that Yuya must convince people that Dueling should be fun, something he spent much of the series trying to teach others, and even needed to re-learn himself at some point).
Also, Reji's tendency to use all summoning styles means he's hard to adapt against, because you never know how he's gonna fight. Even the Lancers find they are being predicted, since Gloria and Grace prepared a strategy for them.
One Strip! One Strip! As lomg as ite ends with Yuya fusing with Yuzu.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. But yes. He also needs an actual Johan by that point. unless Yuzu is also that.
So in other words, just like Azure Striker Gunvolt.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Tell me when Asuka/Alexis shows up.
GIVE ME YOUR FACEShe probably won't appear again until episode 112 unless we get some scenes showing what's going on at the Fusion You Show School.
Duel 108. AND ACTION!
- I was about to get ticked at Gongenzaka losing, but seeing how Tag Duels don't fit his Steadfast Dueling, I let it slide.
- Yes! For once, Yuuya's ideals were not trampled on! And the Tyler Sisters egao'd.
- Aster's scowling intensifies again.
- Ah, Obelisk Force. Ready for more jobbing goodness? Or are they gonna pull a fast one...?

Man, Yuya practically made Grace in particular look like she creamed her pants thanks to his You Show dueling...

The Protomen enhanced my life.It says 三年クール, which means something between 144 and 156 episodes.
Seriously?
This series has been running what? About two years now? Is it really gonna end soon? Feels like there's still a lot more to do to be honest?
....Hmm, I suppose there's not much left to do after Academia and Leo are defeated. I just thought we'd get to see a bit of how the worlds rebuild and all. Maybe go crazy with a 4 dimension Tournament and all that.
One Strip! One Strip!
This episode confirms that Allen had no excuse to blindly use Limiter Removal there, since it's confirmed you can read opposing cards.
