That Starve Venom is pretty damn powerful. I hope Yugo and Yuya are ready to bring the upgrades to the fold.

It would have been hilarious if the guy with no monsters had used Swift Scarecrow or any equivalent. Yuri seemed to have nothing he could do in that case.

You have to admit. Starve Venom Fusion Dragon's Attacks are creepy as hell.

The overly CGI nature of them really takes me out of the experience, though. The attack on Master of OH-ZEE looks very poorly done, in particular.

Honestly, from a purely-technical perspective I preferred how the monsters looked back during Duel Monsters and GX before the series went widescreen. Once the resolution was upped the (drawn) detail on the monsters went down outside of high-budget Animation Bump episodes, and I've found all the designs in the flood of CG monsters we've been getting since ZEXAL incredibly tacky.

Topping Don Thousand for ridiculously overpowered will be a feat in itself, but I'm sure Leo can pull something off.

You seem to forget that Old Kite started out as a dick as well. Nothing's changed, just why he's a dick.

Yeah. Though I don't know if the old Kite would have attacked a former friend just because he tried to talk to him. Either way, no matter what the series, don't fuck with Kite's family.

So watching the new ep, there are still some things bothering me:

Why is it that the students are the ones being sent to Heart Land? Why not the Obelisk Force? I suppose the latter group is too small, since they are only used for small infiltrations. That being said, I wonder if Leo wants these kids to be traumatized, and that too is part of the plan.

I also suspect that it's not about who gets carded, but just being carded, so he benefits when the Resistance Cards his soldiers as well.

And there's still the mystery of why only XYZ was invaded and not the other worlds, but now I'm thinking it may not be too complicated. Standard has Action Duels, and The City has Turbo Duels; two styles that are unorthodox compared to what Academia does. I figure they chose Heart Land because, XYZ Summoning aside, there's nothing too fancy about them, so they were the easiest to hit.

Obelisk Blue's being good dueslist was a mostly Informed Ability in GX with only a few exceptions.

Naturally this means he assumes Obelisk Force latent nature as jobbers would awaken in a war.

XYZ was only invaded once Dennis gave the greenlight. Jean was suppose to versee the invasion in Synchro, but used the chance to secede from Academia and build his own empire. As for standard, idk who was in charge of the invasion there.

Didn't Sora go to Standard because he pretty much felt like it? I doesn't sound like Reio intended to invade it since in his first appearance he said that it (and the Synchro Dimension too I think) weren't their enemies.

See I buy that. Also, , where was it said that Jean was sent to the Synchro dimension?

I thought he just bailed on Academia and tried to do his own thing? Not that he was sent there, and then rebelled while he was there.

Though I can see him going Awol during his mission, so it makes sense. I just don't re-call it being said that he was sent there, rather then going there on his own.

I don't remember when, but I guess it was when he was revealed as a former Academia member. But even if that was never mentioned, that's the option makes the most sense, given what we have seen about Academia's policy with escapees. They probably never knew Roget was no longer one of them until now.

How long has the Professor been on the power anyway?, I mean, if Roget was under his orders 10 years ago, he must have already had quite a bit of structure and manpower by then. He must have been dimension hopping for a good while.

• You know... Yuzu's bracelet's key function is probably to prevent the Yuuyas from becoming one...
