Underrated due to low commercialization. But I am surprized that i can find Timothy Goes To School and Babar episodes on the block at my house when i'm free on Fridays.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceLast I checked, it was mostly poorly animated Flash cartoons.
It gave us Spliced. for that reason alone.
That's modern Canadian animation for ya.
Well, there's also Jane And The Dragon which is pretty good.
Didn't it used to air The Magic School Bus?

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."IIRC, it also had Veggie Tales (albeit massively edited to avoid religious references).
Sad you can't talk about God/religion on network television.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceIt's not really sad, just...heavy political correctness and all that. After all, it is a kids' show, don't want to warp those fragile minds.
I had so many Veggie Tales plushies as a kid, and I would sleep with all of them. I didn't know they were based on a cartoon (which must have been DTV) based on bible stories.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot. They've actually had two theatrical releases.
Untrue; Three Two One Penguins has a Grandmother raising her grandkids Christian. They mention and quote the Bible and the kids pray before bedtime on multiple occasions.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."It is true; I saw the later episodes of 3-2-1 Penguins, which indeed contain religious references. However, it is true that NBC cleared and edited Veggie Tales episodes (when they aired on that network) of religious references. Had NBC's Standards and Practices department given Veggie Tales the same leniency as it later did to 3-2-1 Penguins, Qubo might have been a bigger hit than it turned out to be.

"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"It seems to be mainly a dumping ground for Nelvana shows nobody else wants...
I watch the channel from time to time (when there's nothing else on) just to catch some stuff I've enjoyed during childhood: Babar, Jane and the Dragon, Busy World of Richard Scarry, Being Ian, and Archie's Weird Mysteries to name a few.
They used to air The Magic School Bus, Marvin the Tap-Dancing Horse, and both of Big Idea's shows a while ago, too. Now it's mostly just sub-par Canadian-animated cartoons and Filmation stuff at late nights.

Eh.The Filmation stuff is no longer on the channel because of Dream Works Animation's purchase of Classic Media, which owned the Filmation series. Although I agree that the channel, both during its regular hours and during its "Qubo Night Owl" hours, needs some work concerning the content.
"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"Sadly, I don't have the channel.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI didn't expect this conversation on the board. Dang, it brings back memories. It used to be a Saturday Morning Tradition. The last of its kind. But I just eventually gave up because it just started airing reruns for years on end.
I had the channel for a short while, where I got a little more enjoyment out of it, but apparently it was a mistake — the Guide labeled it as Ion West. Unfortunately, said mistake was fixed, and now it's actually Ion West.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerAnd, sadly, Ion doesn't give two fucks about Qubo since they block it to Friday mornings only.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI have Qubo as an entire subchannel (it's 66-2 on my TV).
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."What provider do you have? Direc TV? Dish?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice...an RCA converter box. I don't even know if it's a service provider or whatever, but it gives me channels to watch.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."
I haven't seen a conversation for Qubo, so I decided to make one. Do, the question that I have for this conversation is the following: what is your opinion about this network, and why do you feel this way? I think that this network is alright, but I feel that it is not as good as the other kids' networks (especially Cohen-era Cartoon Network).
