The description, anemic as it is, is pretty clearly not about fish. It's easy enough to glean what it's about based on the examples, but the description doesn't define it... like... at all.

Huh, the only line of actual description here is "Two great tastes, better together!" which is exceedingly vague, and not helped by the ambiguous name. What does fishes even have to do with the theme of tropes listed anyway? It might be alright if we have an established definition of metaphorical fish (like Tropey the Wonder Dog), but I don't believe we do.
Also, shouldnt the Good X Evil X tropes go into Good and Evil for Your Convenience rather than this trope? Since those pages are about visual representation of good and evil characteristics rather than "two opposing/differing aspects of something that appear together in a dynamic"

This is an index about tropes which express contrasts. But the description is sucky.

Actually it appears to me like it may be intended to apply specifically to tropes that have a "Thing One Comma Thing Two" title.
Hence the fact that the description is also in that style.
It has nothing to do with Red Oni, Blue Oni other than the fact that said trope is an example of this naming style.

And what is the purpose of such index, really? If it's just a grouping of tropes based on its name rather than the actual definition of the trope, then it's meaningless.
Honestly, I find myself asking that question of a lot of indexes. I see them come through YKTTW and I think "do we really need this index" but I guess it's not a viable issue so they wind up getting made anyway.
We do have an advice page Search-Generated Index, although it only applies to specific circumstances.

A Search Generated Index is a few tropes with just a word in common. This is a list of opposites. It's just as valid as Duo Tropes.
^That index you said should have a valid definition that doesn't make us question why it's even here? The only this thread is about however, I'm not sure because the definition isn't clear.

Either this can be overhauled, or a Trope Transplant with my YKTTW. Also, should I make a sandbox of how I think this should look like?
