If I can manage to get back into a proper writing rhythm, then I'm interested. So that's a solid "maybe."
Anyway here's Blackwall\*is currently reading Worm*
Count me as a maybe, I suppose. I'm kinda bogged down with a bunch of other R Ps as it is
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialOH LORD YES!... I mean ehem.. Interest here

The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.I am definitely interested, as long as you can keep it light on the spoilers, as I haven't finished Worm.
Exist, pursued by bearGood to see some interest . A few names I expected, and a few I didn't, which is cool.
I'd set the RP before the events of the book, and I'd steer clear of any of the (established) Class-S threats and major mysteries, so spoilers should be at a minimum.
So, is this still going to be a thing? Because I think I came up with a good backstory. Even if it's not going I be a thing, could you link to the system that you were going to use for the game?
Exist, pursued by bearWe're a little short of players to start, and besides, RL is currently a bit too busy for me to GM anything anyway.
That being said, I'm not going to just drop the idea and forget about it. If things change I'll certainly start this thing.
As for the system, it's here. Although if you're still super-early in the story I wouldn't recommend reading it, due to some possible slight spoilers. I think you'd be fine if you're past the Snare or Prey arcs, and completely 100% safe if you've gotten past Drone.
I understand, and I'm past those points. I stopped reading roughly after the timeskip because of stuff.
Exist, pursued by bearOne part bump, one part legitimate question: Who's thinking of playing a villain and who's leaning towards hero, either solo or Protectorate? I'm trying to see if I can cook up a story that'll work with a smaller group.
part of me wants to go hero... yeah hero, maybe one that wants to join the Protectorate, but its kind of paranoid about it and is doing the solo gig for now.
The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song.Protectorate, almost certainly. The kind of character I have in mind would very well benefit from structure and their aid to heroes.
Exist, pursued by bearVillain because Gray-and-Grey Morality.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialCurrently possibly a PR-oriented, disillusioned hero, but I could go with either. There are so many variables in the mix.
Anyway here's BlackwallI'm very interested in this, if you're still recruiting?
I am indeed, although I've put it on the backburner a little while I try and work out some story ideas and such.
Oh I'm down for this! I read some of Worm — didn't finish, but loved it. Thinking of going with a solo villain-ish type.

"Who am I, Elisha Otis?"Eh, why not?
Only one, but things can get...confusing. How many Time Cops does it take to change a light bulb? That makes 8 players, including myself. I think that's actually getting close to perfect.
I'll see about getting a signup thread going. If nothing else, I've found brainstorming Worm-style superpowers to be a pretty entertaining exercise in and of itself.
Expressing interests. You still taking hopefuls?
"The literal meaning of life is whatever you're doing that prevents you from killing yourself." Albert CamusIt is! The sign up thread is very open.

Heya folks. This IC is going to be a bit bare-bones, because ATM I'm not even sure I'll have the spare time or audience to actually start it. Still, no harm in testing the waters, so here we go:
This will be a superhero/supervillain RP set in the universe of the web novel Worm. That works page should give you something of an idea of the tone and themes in play: Grey-and-Grey Morality, an emphasis on teamwork, creative use of powers and hero/villain politics. Players wouldn't be required to read the source material, but I'd prefer to get at least some people who are familiar with how the setting works.
The main twist to this RP will be the superpowers. In Worm some people, seemingly chosen at random, manifest superhuman abilities during moments of extreme trauma, crisis or stress. This is called a "trigger event", and the circumstances of this event loosely influence the resulting powers.
In keeping with the fact that no-one in-universe gets to pick their powers, players would initially work out just their characters back-stories, personalities and trigger events. Then we'd use components of a rudimentary RPG system worked out by fans of the novels to roll for the general type, advantages and disadvantages of each superpower. After that the players could build on these to decide on the specifics of their power, and work out a fitting superhero identity, costume, etc.
So, that's it. If anyone's interested, feel free to chime in. Ideally I'd be looking for a small group to start with, maybe three to five players on each side.
