You're entitled to your opinion. However, I prefer the new translation. Pretty much all of the fandom's Alternate Character Interpretations have been caused by the old translation, and I do not like a single one of them.
Anybody know what the "Sou" in Gunvolt 2 refer to?
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. There was stuff announced at Anime Expo 2016:
Gunvolt OVA coming Winter 2016 through streaming services:
ASG 2 comes out in the US this September
Physical copy of the original Gunvolt (includes all of the cut dialogue) and sequel in 1 3DS cart published by Yacht Club comes out same day, Sep. 30:
Aw man, I just bought the original digitally! :(
The Protomen enhanced my life.Beat Up Entremetes sounds silly.
I guess all Adepts can use a signature move.
Oooh, I'm actually interested in that.
Are they gonna do a patch for those who already have 1 on digital download for 3DS with the cut content back in? Because I don't have the money to really think of buying the pack because of Pokemon Sun/Moon. I CAN buy the sequel by itself though.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Yeah, every adept has some big signature move, signaled with a malformed haiku.
I have a message from another time...@Hobgoblin They renamed Beat Up Entremetes.
@Alpha VII They said they were going to a patch. Hopefully they will by the end of it all.
Talking about the new updates to the VG and character pages: I honestly wanna know where all of those new info come from. Twitter, perhaps? (I don't use Twitter)
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love. What did they rename it to?
Some of the move renames are kind of funny to me, since the attack named are still in Gratuitous English. So you can still hear them say stuff like "lightning sphere", "sparkcalibur", "Zero Blade", "Psychofusion", or "Sunshine Nova"
I have a message from another time...@Getta Inti Creates' website and social media. The trailers are on their You Tube channel, blog posts containing the information can be found on their website (which has likely been shut down due to traffic), and their Twitter and Facebook keep us updated. If I remember correctly, all of this information was revealed at Anime Expo, but I doubt it's only there.
I can't tell if Teseo is annoying or hilarious.
I think he's supposed to be inspired by fanon!Merak. He's definitely as much of a dick as canon!Merak, though.
What do you mean by canon and fanon Merak?
We don't need justice when we can forgive. We don't need tolerance when we can love.Fanon!Merak is more comedic than his canon counterpart. Merak does indeed have a good sense of humor, but he's a largely serious villain, and his sense of humor does not translate to how he plays games (as I noted on his character page, he's a "Stop Having Fun" Guy.) Fans tend to assume that the fact that his primary vice is Sloth means that he's harmless, when that's not really true; arguably the opposite is the case. He has a serious Lack of Empathy.
Note that I'm not simply drawing this from one or two sources, but also fanfiction, fancomics, and roleplays, and public opinion. Draco in Leather Pants applies to some extent to every Gunvolt character, but it hits Merak particularly hard.
I think some of the perception difference could be down to the 3DS version's altered script and lack of running dialogue durin gameplay.
For example, one of the bits that was missing was Gunvolt and crew being horrified that Merak is willing to drown everyone under his command to get at Gunvolt.
I have a message from another time...True. That's definitely something to consider, but now that the game has been retranslated, you'd think that they try and correct themselves. What's said is done, I guess.
Best reason to buy a Shovel Knight Amiibo as of now.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.I WANT THIS.
I wonder if he has a haiku attack.
They revealed the last two bosses. Any thoughts?
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.First thought: "I'd better avoid seeing that, if they're actually the last bosses."
I have a message from another time...I probably should have been clearer in that I meant the last two bosses of the main eight that haven't been shown yet.
A rose by any other name would smell as sweet Unless I grew it. In that case, throw it in the trash.
Is it just me, or I actually prefer the writing style of the 3ds translation instead of the "closer-to-Japanese" one? I'm strictly talking about the styles, not about cut contents.
Like, compare Carrera's style of talking in the 3ds and in Steam. Or Zeno's. Or even GV's. The original Japanese sounds, I dunno, comparatively more boring than the 3ds.
