I have made some optional additions to the sign-up sheet, mostly to help stimulate the creative juices for character creation.

First SU, woo. Sorry though, I made this one for the old template, but I can update it into the new one if you want me to.

Name: Cecily Nelson

Description: Cecily is a slim brown-haired, brown-eyed Caucasian ninth grader, who's hardly ever seen without her cybernetic parts. Having not yet hit the big growth spurt, she gains several inches from the red titanium and carbon-fibre "trousers" that go on the outside of her legs. Her back is supported by a solid titanium alloy exo-skeletal spine, but it's usually covered by her clothes. Wears glasses due to near-sightedness.

Persona: Cheerful and optimistic, Cecily is of the type that never gives up in the face of adversity. If she meets a challenge, she'll dedicate all her time and energy to handle it, and is not a stranger to working through the night. Cecily was at a young age afflicted with a serious muscle condition that paralyzed her legs and weakened her spine. However, her mutant power helped her create the first prototype to her augmental legs, which she has improved many times since then. She really wants to help other people in the same situation as herself, but the way her powers work make this impossible at the moment, so she tries her best to one day be able to make parts for others.

Abilities: Cybernetic mechanic. Cecily can make advanced cybernetic systems that are beyond what conventional science can recreate. A curious power, it is restricted mainly to things Cecily can operate directly, but she can also make smaller autonomous systems for small and uncomplicated tasks. She can not make cybernetic parts for other people, which may indicate that her power is tied to her body, which is partly why she is considered a mutant.

Sure. Another great thing is that missing details can be filled by whoever plays the PC, while filled in details make it easier for the play. Win-win.

I was hoping to see more characters up before attempting a sign up so I could get a better feel for the tone and direction of the rp. Oh well. Its a school setting with students dealing with normal problems, except everyone there has super powers right? Oh and the general public dislikes them just like in marvel. I will throw up a few character pitches tomorrow or so and see if any catch people's interest. Figured I would see what other people think, since they will be the one playing one of these guys, before committing to an actual sign up.

Hiya! Sorry I've taken so long!

Name: Flora Miles

Age: 18

Description: Flora is a tiny young lady (5'2" and 108 lbs) with long blonde-white hair and steel blue eyes. She wears her school uniform like an overzealous army officer: crisp, clean, and not a thread out of place. She spends a lot of time adjusting her clothes when they get ruffled from her daily routine; it's kinda like her go-to pose, instead of crossing her arms or putting a hand on her hip, she straightens out her jacket sleeve or brushes off her skirt. Flora loves to wear hats whenever possible (possibly because her skin makes her burn like dry timber), though she never wears any particular one all the time. Have fun coming up with hat ideas! wink

Personality: Flora walks the delicate path between "incredibly talented" and "batsh*t crazy." Her uniform maintenance shows her excessive desire to impress others, while her all-encompassing shyness keeps most people from noticing her. Given her abilities (or her supposed abilities), she is often found talking to invisible beings, and sometimes she'll blame her strangeness on "their" menacing. As far as relationships go, she has no preference towards gender, but neither does she directly approach her crush. She's the "Hinata Hyuuga" type.

Abilities: Flora's powers are rather ambiguous. The school's initial report has her down as a powerful spirit medium, capable of contacting spirits and using their influence to affect the physical world, predominantly through flying objects. However, since other mediums have failed to witness any spectral figures around Ms. Miles (who claims to talk to them regularly), the school counselor made a second analysis on her mutation. The second report categorized Flora as a telepath, and the spectres she supposedly talked to were merely hallucinations created by her overactive mind. I leave Flora's true power (and its potential) up to the player to decide.

Note: If you've figured out where I got the framework for this character, congratulations! You read a book! evil grin

Patience, dammit. Most people don't like being prodded every other day. (Not to mention that some RPs never get off the ground and that's completely natural.)

Ah, sorry. Just been distracted by Dark souls. Well here is a few character concepts. Just let me know if anyone finds any of these guys interesting and will write up an actual sign up for them. Oh, none of the characters have names yet cause I suck at thinking them up, sorry haha. Out of curiosity, given the grade range and hypothetical different social circles, is there going to be an underlying cause that brings characters into interaction with one another, like a common class or club, or do we just create a scenario.

1. A schizophrenic female outcast with the power to subconsciously affect others into sharing into her delusions. Growing up with schizophrenia, the character would suffer from hallucinations and paranoid delusions. These conditions were kept under control through medication however. With the awakening of physic powers her hallucinations became much more vivid, completely indistinguishable from reality. Even worse these hallucinations affected everyone around her through a type of telepathy. This trapped both the character and her family in a sort of fantasy world until lack of care for her real body put her in a critical condition and she could no longer naturally upkeep the telepathy. Since the incident she has been moved to the school (whats its name?) and has been prescribed with a medication that keeps her powers from manifesting. She still remains very paranoid that the world around her is fake and has become fairly deranged as a result. She may also have taken to "self medicating" herself with painkillers or tranquilizers (we can do the whole after school special on this). She has no direct control over her power which is linked to her psychosis. She could have an alter ego which manifests with the power. Both the alter ego and her hallucination could have an Alice in Wonderland type theme.

2. A male jerk jock with horrific regenerative powers. The character probably lived a nondescript life before getting his powers, though may have suffered from a condition which caused his muscles to remain under developed. Upon acquiring his powers he found that he was much stronger then before as his muscles seemed to develop on their own. The problem was that the muscle mass just kept growing, creating excess limbs and the such, until he became a sort of abomination. The form caused fear and disgust from everyone he knew. Authorities probably tried killing the form with little success until a group of experts came to resolve the situation. The experts developed a chemical compound that counter acts the muscle growth and was able to manually sculpt the character into something resembling human once again. He now attends the school while taking daily doses of the chemical compound to keep his mutation under control, while having limited control of the mutation by manipulating his dosage. He could either have Frankensteinish type look, where the scars of his mutation is plainly evident, or simply look normal, with the monstrous appearance he could take being more of a secret shame. He has a love/hate view on his powers, very much enjoying the peak conditioning of his body while the powers are under control, but absolutely disgusted by what he can become. The chemical compound works by eating away the muscle mass as it develops, which is a painful process that the character has become accustom to. The constant agitation from it makes him come off much more intense when dealing with other characters then he means to be. The looks of horror while he was mutated his friends and family gave him still haunt him, and he is deeply ashamed of his mutated form. While not meaning to, he has become a bully of sorts. He tries to be friendly with everyone but his intense personality and overly friendly approach (he might do that guy thing where he casual insults his friends while not actually meaning any harm) can rub people the wrong way, especially introverts. Seeing the discomfort he causes those people remind him of how people treated him while mutated and cause him to act out in a hostile manner. In a school setting I figured we would need one of these guys, also always thought it would be interesting if regenerative powers were less wolverine and more resident evil.

3. A female cosplay geek with shape shifting powers and identity issues. The character grew up as an introvert with little to no friends who spent most of her time pursuing her geeky hobbies. When her powers manifested she kept them secret since general opinion of mutants are quite low. Curious about her ability she saw an opportunity to try them out without being caught by doing cosplay. While in costume she found it easier to talk with other people by pretending to be the fictional persona she was portraying. Her secret eventually came out and she was sent to the school. Since coming to the school she has spent most of her time pretending to be fictional characters from her hobbies (you know, cosplaying). She sometimes would spend weeks or months in a single role without breaking character while other times change personalities several times within an hour. She may have a default trickster persona that others assume to be the real her, but is merely something she created or possibly a fictional character that some others would recognize. She could be on friendly terms with alot of people, others seeing her as something like a class clown, but has no actual friends since she refuses to deal with people on a personal level. Alternatively, people could just see her as weird. The character becomes evasive or defensive whenever someone tries to engage her on a personal level, probably even refusing to acknowledge people who call her by her actual name rather then the one of the character she is currently portraying. Catching her in her actual form would have her just as angry/embarrassed as if you caught her naked. The reason for this avoidance of her original persona may come from the idea that after spending so much time being other people very little of the original her exists. She may also feel that with the power to be anybody else, she doesn't want to be herself.

4. A male British harmless hellion with pyrokinesis powers. This character grew up as a delinquent, and upon acquiring his powers he became a delinquent...with pyrokinesis. After a small crime spree of vandalism and other such misdemeanors, the character was sent to the school. He proudly proclaims his intention of becoming a super villain with his new found powers. The only problem is that he is not a very villainous person. If anything, he is actually quite a friendly and cheerful person. He has an immature need to rebel against authority figures which serve as his only basis of villainy. He is the type who would stop to help an old lady cross the street, unless he was ordered to, in which case he would burn down the traffic light and run off. He is currently trying to come up with a "cool" costume and name for when he becomes a super villain, even though he has no actual plans for what to do if he ever became one.

(Wow, that ended up longer than I expected. Sorry all.)
