The Warlord has a neat design; that ring of ears around their neck is fittingly gruesome.
Out of curiosity, what else ended up in this particular DLC that wasn't as obviously marketed in trailers?
That's it as far as I know, two characters with the backstories, new enemy and new mission to obtain one of the new characters. Anything else is in the separate patch notes.
Red Hook plz giev good girl doggy back
Probably not really a surprise, but here's Darkest Dungeon's director explicitly saying the artstyle's Hidden Eyes was to convey a hopeless-feeling world.
What makes it worse is that when you do see visible eyes in the games, they belong to monsters. Including a boss that's made of eyes.
Disgusted, but not surprisedWhat the FUCK is this???? Are they putting a whole-ass second game in the game for free? Is this some kind of Arrange Mode like Color of Madness? Is it adding new enemies and new old enemies like the Hateful Virago and Chevalier? What are they doing?
Edit:I checked the steam page. It seems like this is literally a second campaign mode. Ugh, this is going to be so much work adding and organizing all these new monsters...

It's not about the gold; it's about the glory.Hoo boy, the vampires are back? Can’t wait to see what their 3D animations.
They're called Bloodsuckers.
So if they add old enemies into the game (like the Chevalier), those will have to go on the existing "Darkest Dungeon Monsters" and "DLC Monsters" pages based on the precedent set by other examples (E.G. The Shambler and Ghoul are only listed on the "Darkest Dungeon Monsters" page despite being in Darkest Dungeon II as well to prevent confusion and redundancy). But any new monsters (including, if any, those under the "Crimson Courtier" designation) will have to go on the "Darkest Dungeon II Monsters" page and not the "DLC Monsters" page due to being added in a free update and not paid DLC. Ok. That should be watertight.
It's not about the gold; it's about the glory. As annoying as some of the Bloodsucker enemies could be, I really want to see their transformation animations in Darkest Dungeon II.
I imagine the Bloodsuckers are going to be a lot less aggravating now that the Crimson Curse isn't a mechanic. ...It's not a mechanic, right? RIGHT?
Also worth noting is that Red Hook has apparently been concurrently developing a new DLC which will add a new faction and region for the Confessions mode alongside this new game mode that they plan to release simultaneously, so base game fans need not despair about a content drought.
