I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Please don't post spoilers. Wait until the chapter is out in English.
He right 'bout dat sister, though.
Working on a manga. With pictures! All feedback welcome!Just checked out Dice, looks pretty cool, the game mechanics are even more abusable than in The Gamer, you could probably get pretty close to omnipotence quite quickly.
Actually, you could probably figure out how with just two three dice, once you've discovered there's a skill tree. Roll for Knowledge: Skill Tree, roll for Knowledge: Path to Omnipotence(or closest analogue), roll for Skill: Motivation to get off your Lazy Arse.

Yeah, but the tasks that are needed to get those Dices can be...well...stupid, and outright dangerous at times. Also, the Gamer ability looks a lot more convenient and versatile.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Easily worth it though, the early game quests are simple and that glasses kid was able to buff his arm strength enough to slap someone across a room and into a wall. Just focus the stat boost into specific traits of INT and you could be BBC's Sherlock Holmes literally overnight.
Chapter 45 is out.
Other than the fact that the MC now has all the house for himself and have tests in 3 weeks, it's pretty much same stuff, different day.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Perhaps he'll finally get around to powergaming like a sane person with slavers after him would.
You know, at this point I'm starting to wish for shit to go down.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Chapter 46 came out yesterday. More grinding, more fanservice. He does finally choose a class, though. Apparently he lives in a Linear Warriors, Quadratic Wizards universe, so wizard is the obvious direction to go.
That trope always did bother me, especially when martial arts has magic mixed in anyway. Even basic stuff like increased sensory perception should have lots of applications too.
Nah, being a "wizard" here just means he neglects his physical stats to focus on abilities with long range or out-of-combat utility. Ki and magic are the same thing, but he's choosing to be a Squishy Wizard rather than a Lightning Bruiser.

Chapter 47 is out. He gives what's-her-name a lecture on wisdom versus intelligence...and then puts all his points into intelligence.
He's doing stupid things on purpose right? I mean, He goes, "WIS increases your thinking skills," and then puts everything into INT. 131 INT, a stat that doesn't actually make you smarter in any noticeable way or he'd already be the cleverest character by miles at 90. And just last chapter he was going on about how creativity would make him an awesome wizard but forgoes anything that would make the story more interesting for a little more raw power.
What we call intelligence is complicated, and games generally split it into multiple stats. Int does make him smarter—but only in raw number crunching. You'll note that in this chapter he did a few complex calculations (figuring out exactly how long his shield would last in a variety of situations) without so much as blinking. His memory has likely improved. He's probably acing every test without even trying, but he still doesn't have the wisdom to realize that more wisdom would be helpful.
Point, his memory has gotten better and the calculations thing. The problem is, he does have enough WIS to realise WIS is a good idea, he even points it out in this chapter. Right after he and his friend's spiel about not wasting points. He then proceeds to not take any of his or his friends advice and waste 31 very hard to come by points. You can't do that by accident, this is guided idiocy. Either that or the author is lazy and doesn't want to bother writing smart characters.

I don't think there's a contradiction there. He's smart enough to realize the different between Int and Wis, but dumb enough to not realize that he should have more Wis.
That said, arguably having more Wis would simply give him the wisdom to realize that he should been min-maxing in Int instead of wasting points in Wis.
Except he'll then be gimping himself for normal world pursuits, as was not his plan, unless he wants to become a mathematician or something.
Excellent memory is a very good thing to have for pretty much any job.
Also, even the rest of his stats are probably better than the average person by now anyway.

MMORPGs are serious business.Too bad he won't really be able to apply it.
Why settle for better then the average when you can be (simply the best), better than all the rest?
New chapter out.
More grinding.
Okay, that's it. I'm now officially sick of all the exposition.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. So, given the same powers, what would your build be?
It's called Dice: The cube that changes everything
lol
