Oh really when?I'll go comment on Neuroscience's grand question: How do neurons regenerate without losing memory?; neurons don't exist in a vacuum, they are surrounded by a matrix material and by other cells. There is reason to believe that when a neuron is damaged, the matrix remains intact and preserves the connection pattern like a negative, so that a replacing neuron gets served the same wiring system.

Going to poke my curious head in here and just pop the question of who thinks we may eventually find life - not necessarily intelligent by our standards, but just life of any sort - within our own solar system? Because given the various environments on the closer planets, as well as the moons of the outer ones, my gut says that there could well be something out there that's alive.
