Cue "Pitchfork finally went full mainstream" punchlines.
EDIT: Conde Nast’s chief digital officer Fred Santarpia sparked controversy for saying that acquisition brings “a very passionate audience of Millennial males into our roster", pointing out Pitchfork's gender-imbalanced readership in accident. Pop critic Lindsay Zoladz and The Atlantic writer Spencer Kornhaber responded to the controversy.

May his memory be eternal.
David Bowie's new album is gonna be released on his birthday - January 8 - and it's called ★ (aka Blackstar).
It makes me sad, as I loved STP, but it didn't surprise me any more than Layne Staley's death did.
I saw in today's news that the bass player was arrested...they found cocaine on the bus so it hopefully was just for possession.
John Bradbury, drummer of The Specials, dies aged 62.
They're leaving the building a bit too fast. RIP.

I guess it just depends when it comes to reunion/way past their prime shows. Like I was excited seeing Van Halen(even though I had shitty seats) because they just released a pretty good album prior to the show and had most of their members(is anyone really going to complain that Michael Anthony wasn't there?). Compared to not even bothering to see The Pixies because they thought it would be a good idea to release this as one of their leading radio singles.
