He may not have known Barry by name, but he's seen him without his mask. Also knows that STAR Labs is involved with the Flash.

I had been letting my kids watch this show with me, but I'm starting to rethink that since it's broaching some topics that aren't quite age appropriate, which is a shame since they've been enjoying the show. Some of the violence depicted is pushing it (and I won't let them watch Arrow at all because there's so much more on that show), but supervillains zapping people with electricity or freeze rays is unrealistic enough that I haven't been too worried about them watching it. Iris and Eddie's living arrangements (to pick one example) raise questions that I'd rather wait until they're older to discuss.
And maybe it's just because I rarely watch tv any more, but I was a little surprised to hear Cisco refer to Hartley as a "dick" on broadcast tv. I guess I'm just out of touch with what language is allowed over the air these days.
out of curiosity's sake...your kids age group?
"You can reply to this Message!"The times are indeed changing.
3of4: My kids are 5 and 10. If it was just the 10 year old, she's getting to the age where she's encountering more adult topics (and the teenage years are right around the corner, so that will kick into high gear soon). But it's hard to let one watch without the other, so I have to keep in mind what's appropriate for both. That will have to change soon, but we're not quite there yet.
Them's the perils of a 5 year gap between kids. :)

First look at the two Tricksters.
Gotta say I'm surprised they went full-on comic booky with it.
I don't really like those costumes. Mark's is a bit more subtle, but I hate the other guy's.
This is a signature. The mask reminds me of The Comedian. I'm sure it'll look better with him standing and moving around.
So I just watched the show. Really writers? The gay villain has a music theme?
Also why the hell is he in the pipeline? He's not a metahuman.
At least Pied Piper named himself. If that name had been forced on him by Cisco or someone else, there would've been some Unfortunate Implications.
Also, was Pied Piper gay in the comics? Because if this show's going to make every camp supervillain gay, then I think about half the population of the DC universe is flaming...

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.I guess it's better than making Bivolo gay.
I'm kind of surprised Piper didn't break out the other villains to distract Team Flash.
To be fair, Pied Pier is gay in the comics too. This is not Adaptional Sexuality or so.
He's actually one of the first gay DC characters if I remember correctly.
(He's also the one rogue who's had a Heel–Face Turn that stuck, so I kinda expect him to do that too in Flash at some point?)
Maybe if Wells is Evil, he'll replace him in Season 2 as Physics smart guy.

"You can reply to this Message!"That would make Cisco redundant whenever he becomes Vibe. At best I forsee an Enemy Mine.
Edit: Oh my god that's probably the reason they made him antagonistic to Cisco. Piper and Vibe will be rivals.

Pied Piper is gay in the comics. He is actually dating Captain Singh in the comics.
After they made him gay in the comics he actually started being an ally for the Flash.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureAh, I see. Thanks. Good to know this show's being faithful to the source material, then.
I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon. It's not like they need to be faithful to the material. They already changed things around by making the West family black and making Cisco and Caitlin employees of Star Labs.
It doesn't have to be a shot-for-shot remake of the comics. I'm just saying, y'know, it's good that it uses elements from the comics sometimes.

I've got fanfics for Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash Bandicoot, and Spyro the Dragon.Yes....and after the funfest with Constantine just imagine the hellfire they'd unleashed if they made Hartley not gay :P?
"You can reply to this Message!"@Tricksters:
I like the Axel Walker Trickster costume - he's supposed to be the young poser copycatting the Trickster's image to make a name for himself, whereas James Jesse is the old, real Trickster who actually knows what he's doing, right? It makes sense that the upstart would look like he's... trying too hard.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Also, he's got more of a Sound theme than music. He's not destroying stuff with music, just sound waves.
Did they put Hartley in the pipeline just in case he doesn't join Captain Cold's team?
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Maybe they put him there just to question him about Harrison Wells before they took him to the police; at the end the left him their because they might have figured in prison he could possibly escape.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
So, bottom line, Wells really is a pure jerk that only helps Barry because he is a guinea pig in order for him to restore his powers, and has no redeeming quality whatsoever?
Not sure if I think it is a good idea.
