Don't you just love it when you realize something is Older than You Think?
I'm still able to watch Doug now, but that's probably because of how much I related to Doug both when I was a kid and even now. I totally understand why people don't care for it, though.
My mom actually grew up watching Pinwheel, back when Nickelodeon was more of a PBS-like station. I asked her if she remembered the silver ball ident Nick had back then, and she said yes.
While I personally didn't grow up seeing that bumper, I wonder if there's anyone on here who remembers seeing it:
Pinwheel was before my time, I didn't get a does of Nick until the Nicktoons came out.
Ya, I'm weird like that...I did mean Bobby Rydell, thank you.
I remember Pinwheel. Primarily the grouchy green dude named Ebenezer. And a few of their cartoon portions, as well. You Can't Do That on Televesion though, that was one of my favorites.
What was it about?
When it comes to You Cant Do That On Television, you shouldn't admit that you don't know anything...
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Think SNL but with kids, Or Canadian Round House or All That
"We be we baby!"You can find a pretty healthy number of YCDTOT episodes on youtube, it you're curious.
Has anyone seen Legendary Dudas yet?
I saw the commercial, and it's nice to see Nick trying the black main character route again. But I fear I'm just too old to enjoy it.
"We be we baby!"I kind of wonder -
Am I the only one who recalls when they had The Brady Bunch on Nickelodeon? Not Nick at Nite, but regular Nickelodeon?
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I think I do, I didn't watch it much but I recall catching it sometimes when I'd turn the tv on.

From what I hear, it's MUCH better than the Nickcoms that's been coming out for the past few years.
Is it that Legendary Dudas show you guys are talking about?

Well, mainly me but Nega King Kix mentioned it as well.
I watched a few minutes of the show, wasn't half bad actually.
Alright, I know for sure people are going to kill me for this. But I can't help but bring it up. The Mysterious Mr. Enter actually thinks Nickelodeon is growing out of its Dork Age. As said in this journal post.
If you've already heard of this. I apologize.
What exactly would be considered Nick's Dork Age?
I dunno. Maybe 2009 - 2016.
Hmm, Yeah I think I can agree with that mostly. Although there were a few shows for some of those years. Basically I lost interest in the sitcoms on Nick after Victorious got cancelled. And then Korra and TMNT were the only good Nicktoons for a time, until Loud House came around.
Shame on you, how DARE you forget Harvey Beaks!
Or the final run of Sanjay And Craig?
"We be we baby!", Seconding these comments. Oh, and Enter (UGH, this guy is still credible, how???) can shut the fuck , already it'll take more than 2 - 3 good cartoons to fix anything and/or everything wrong with how a channel is being run. Just getting turned on by 2 - 3 decent-to-good cartoons is not enough (and never will be to carry a channel to victory.).

New Web Browser, same old Shokew.
I've been trying to get into Dangermouse but I don't feel it wise to buy a DVD of something untested and I've never found a VHS of it in the wild... If it ever came out here.
I know people who get nostalgic over 80s Nick, when it showed films like The Brave Frog's Greatest Adventure and The Day My Kid Went Punk.
You sure you don't mean Bobby Rydell?
