Schild und Schwert der ParteiFor my taste, the best gun sequence is the one in untouchables.

Every damn scene from Equilibrium.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.The ending to The Wild Bunch.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatTHAT scene in Heat. The one that pretty much got re-enacted in real life during the North Hollywood Shootout some years later, and the one that a helluva lot of firearms instructors in the States show to their students in order to show them just how a magazine change on an Armalite rifle has to be done.
http://vimeo.com/60954124 for the awesomeness.
Wow. Never seen that one before.
Edit: +100 for using real gunshots instead of canned SFX.

Project progress: The Adroan (102k words), The Pigeon Witch, (40k). Done but in need of reworking: Yume Hime, (50k)Holy crap that was awesome. It almost felt like a real gunfight.
Course, in my opinion, the best gunfight in all of film is still this one:
One of the many reasons why The Matrix is still my all time favorite movies.
Does the ending of The Good the Bad and the Ugly count?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Yesh.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseAbsolutely. Though I rate the one at the end of For A Few Dollars More a bit higher. Those pocket watches, man, those freaking pocket watches.

Tense as hell.
True. How often do you actually see fire-and-manoeuvre in a film?
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Not all that often. Even war movies tend to screw that up.
Exactly What It Says on the Tin. I just want to see what you guys consider to be some of the coolest and most jaw-dropping gunfights in fiction. Anything goes in terms of source.
I'll start by linking to what I consider to be the best gun fight in all of anime period.
Seriously though, I mean in terms of fights using firearms.
