So we get Mr. Freeze before we even get Batman...that makes sense.
So Nora basically committed Suicide...damn.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I didn't expect Freeze to live honestly, but this feels more appropriate given the context.
I only half expected him to live. Strange saying that he died is what proved he was alive.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!Freeze doesn't need Batman to become Freeze unlike some other villains. Freeze just needs Nora when written well.
So what now?
Also, Hugo heard what Penguin said. That's gonna be a problem.
Truthfully, I don't know if I can believe this Jim Gordon could become the commissioner. Too many skeletons in the closet. He's supposed to be one of the few clean cops in Gotham.
Galavan needed to die yes, but now I wonder if Jim will keep compromising himself.
Then again, it does solve the problem of Villains Do The Dirty Work that often happens in these types of stories. The heroes can't compromise their precious morals, so someone else does it for them so they can stay pure. Now that I look at it that way, it is nice to see a hero do what needs to be done.
One Strip! One Strip!Since Freeze perfected his formula were all those people dead or did they thaw them out?
Gordon is a weird case, because while I agree he has too many skeletons right now he really is a good person.

And you know he's trying to be a good cop, but Gotham is ridiculously corrupt to such a level that it just won't let him. Lets face it, things should have ended with Galavant when he arrested him the first time, but it didn't, so it reached the point it did.
Also, even if she kinda deserved it, Lee calling comatose Barbara a bitch was hilariously petty.
One Strip! One Strip! To be fair, Gordon needs the ability to bend the rules, if he's going to be one of the principal allies of a vigilante.
He's not traditionally corrupt. He's more like Al Pacino in Insomnia.

This is a signature.Apparently comics!Lee helped raise young Bruce, so the early scene was a nice nod to it.
Plus I am going to WMG hard but imagine Teen Bruce babysitting Lil'Babs.
Edit: Okay, so the Freeze two-parter was head, shoulder, torso, navel, groin and thighs over the rest of the show in terms of quality. That was really impressive, everyone was at its best: Nora and Victor took the cake, but there was no "I wish they left that part out", which is kind of a first in this show.
It is a great story to tell, but it can easily be botched, and this show hasn't always had the best record when it comes to paying homage to existing stories. It wasn't the case. For the first time, I felt like Gotham really was a live comic book show - something that, in my opinion, Flash pulls effortlessly but most other mainstream adaptations mostly fail at.
Okay Gotham. There might be hope for you yet. After all, Agents of Shield also came back from mediocrity, I shall give you a chance too.

I feel bad for victor. Dude couldn't even join his wife and now he has to do the creepiest psychiatrist evers bidding.
Why is it so easy to kill cops in Gotham?
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.because they are dealing with shit no normal city does.
Were the ones during last episode killed? Fries found a formula that works, remember. Since it wasn't mentioned that he had limited supply, Hollywood logistics should apply.
That is, of course, barring the ones that were pierced by the icy shrapnel.
And yeah, this two-parter was probably the two best episodes of the series so far. The one thing I could've left out was the way they depicted Freeze's suicide. That death howl was way too comical in tone to fit with the heartbreaking scene that happened just beforehand.
I'm also amused that apparently at Arkham the patients are treated with VR horror games.

I am not sure if the "icenades" indeed create shrapnel that pierce bodies, or if the pointy parts are a consequence of the much more brutal and brief delivery system compared to the rather progressive cold gun.
either way, they are dead. I imagine the formula was only made in limited quantity.
Depends on how Crazy-Prepared Fries is. He is one of the few villains who could actually try to avoid casualties if possible (he doesn't kill Lee, for a start, or his hostage), and considering that he comes up with a new costume between the two episodes, he might very well have manufactured large quantites of A-16 at the same time.
My head canon is this is earth 3s past. Theres an owl in bruces future not a bat :p
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Bruce did say earlier this season that his favorite animal is an Owl.
I thought he would learn to hate them because they are the natural predator of bats.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI'm catching up on the Freeze episode: dang, what disease does Nora have?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!That is the disease she had in the comics (which batman and robin also took)
" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."Nah Bruce favorite animal has always been owls. He is scared of bats that's why he chose the motif
And the lesson in today's Gotham is:
DON'T LEAVE A LOADED GUN WITHIN REACH OF A SUICIDAL MAN!!!!!
One Strip! One Strip!
I didn't even notice that, lol.
