The Dilbert pic isn't great but it does actually show more than the current which is all tell and no show, so it's a weak for me. Another vote or two and we can run with it.

I agree with Willbyr.
I still prefer the Penny Arcade one, even acknowledging the arguments made in favor of the Dilbert one. I just love the utter contempt Tycho oozes for everyone else, which strikes a chord with me more than Dilbert's reaction does. Shame it doesn't show the people he's reacting to, else it'd probably be closer. (I did check to see what could be done about that, but the arc it's in doesn't offer too much.)

Moon◊Only the contempt is meaningless without context. Being the Only Sane Man doesn't require the character to show contempt for everyone else (that sounds more in accord with Grumpy Bear than this trope, IMO)
> +1 for Dilbert.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Dilbert
for Dilbert.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil.""For once I pity the non-fool."
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes. Not bad.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."No consensus on a caption; locking up.
@24: Can't see who's supposed to be the sane one either.
So, do we have enough consensus for the Dilbert pic?
