It's not just you.
Check out my fanfiction!*looks at page* Yeah, a lot of that's got to go.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Namespaced the tag.
I'll do some cleanup, probably.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe page assumes the reader knows what Rednef and Fender are. Could be artists or site mascots for all I understand.
Doing some clean-up.

I'm curious, can a site have trope examples without them being... well, polarised towards a certain viewpoint?
Sure it can.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRight. Hm. I don't think this needs trope examples.
It's possible. In practice, there will always be editors who want to push pro or anti sentiments (or do it without realising). Native Wikipedians should be helpful in housekeeping any page with a very opinion-attracting topic.

Website pages are work pages. They use tropes (well, their writers/owners/editors do) and we trope them.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYour regular website I can see but not one which functions as a repository for other people's content. DeviantArt lacks any tropes, any reason why?
I'd say incredibly judicious examples would be required, it's tough to see almost any trope example not being subject to YMMV or being somewhat flamebaity.

Starting to look better. Entitled Bastard could probably go, too.
Ok, I've finished what I wanted to do. Should be better now, please see if it needs more tweaks.
Treelo also stepped in and stripped some of the negativity out. I moved an entry to the Trivia tab and removed one that I thought ran afoul of No Real Life Examples Please Looks like this is clearing up well.
Fur Affinity (<- YMMV link) needs some scrubbing as well.

Scrubbing with a sandblaster, it's a huge mess and I'm just wondering if I decide to cut stuff if I'll be going too far or not.
Good lord that's a trainwreck
Oh really when?I've considered enough, majority is bashing random stuff in relation to the site (be that the Furry Fandom as an entity, content bans, etc.) when it isn't bashing the site itself, the rest just isn't relevant or just site-based drama.
I've cut out the absolute worst, what I've left can be mulled over.

Good job there too. I think the Moment of Awesome examples should've stayed, so I put them on an Awesome tab.
treelo, why did you remove a lot of items from YMMV? It's a page dedicated to listing opinions - and you removed them without an edit reason, too.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI gave an explanation, the edit reason I admit I didn't think to add but the content removal I explained in my last post because it wasn't simple "opinion" for varying reasons and I don't see how you can remove bad content from the main but shrug at the same bad content because its on a YMMV page, it's still pretty much bashing and complaining. If it's not on-board then I can always restore whatever I took out and let someone else edit it.

Personally, I feel like we should shave off the examples/YMMV page/related completely, as this might be a bit too controversial of a page to bother dealing with.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I dunno what tropes I'm gonna add concerning recent events such as the Zaush situation and the Weasyl migration...
ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔|I DO COMMISSIONS|ᜇᜎᜈ᜔ᜇᜈ᜔Don't add them, I saw a lot when culling that page and that whole situation was just a whine magnet.
I think cutting all examples including the YMMV page is a good idea, as I said before DeviantArt lacks any form of examples and I can't see why this site is an exception and I reckon that there's a very similar reason for the examplectomy DA's article had that the FA article has right now.

^^ Especially don't add them because the accusations of sexual misconduct/rape against him are, as far as I can tell, just that: accusations. Take an emotionally charged issue like rape and add standard furry dramallama bullshit, and you get something that's very much off-mission for the wiki, even if staying away from the accusations and sticking only to what others are saying about them (most of which is "audience reaction" type material anyway).

All your safe space are belong to Trump
Is it just me, or is a lot of Fur Affinity about on-site drama? It seems very complain-y to me.
