That was pretty great. Captain Obvious as far as I am concerned, but great nonetheless.

Yeah, well, I don't like Hemingway's machismo much. I say better be defeated than be destroyed; if you're defeated you can re-feat another day.

Serious question, do you think we should make a seperate thread for the 8-bit Philosophy vids even though they're hosted on the same channel?

Not-so-serious question, so who's pumped up for The Count of Monte Cristo coming up next?

Hah, nice use of Probotector at the end.

There's one sentence it took him a few tries to say with a straight face.

[lol][lol][lol][lol]

Still, I love how he expressed that conflict in modern terms. Ah, the Dosh Kings...

This kind of crap is what led to the Spanish Civil War, among many others. Minimum Wage, man, best invention since sliced bread... as long as you remember to update it.

Ever wish he wrapped up his analysis more clearly before shilling The Merch? It's especially apparent when he goes from restating the anti-capitalist message if the book to pimping his stuff. I understand, everyone's gotta make money off these videos, but I just feel more if a transition would make it less jarring.

I heard the Thug Notes guys were interested in doing some movie analysis, too.

I think that would sound be pretty rad.

All this talk about The Brothers Karamazov makes me want to see Ol Sparky tackle my two favourite plays of all time The Threepenny Opera and Mother Courage And Her Children by Bertolt Brecht.

Especially since the Second Threepenny Finale sounds similar to what Heart Of Darkness and parts of what the Grand Inquisitor were talking about.

You gentleman who think you have a mission
To purge us of the seven deadly sins
Must first sort ought the basic food provisions
Then start your preaching. That's where it begins

Mankind can keep alive, thanks to it's brilliance
At keeping it's humanity repressed.
You have to kill your neighbour to survive
Its bestial acts that keeps mankind alive\\

I'm having to learn to pay the price

“There is no justice in the laws of nature, no term for fairness in the equations of motion. The Universe is neither evil, nor good, it simply does not care. The stars don't care, or the Sun, or the sky.

But they don't have to! WE care! There IS light in the world, and it is US!”

Aw, come on, Zeno's paradoxes are bullshit. He should go and learn some calculus.
