Fate is the easiest format to follow, has an encounter with all 6 servants by Shirou and Saber -With Rider, Berserker and Gilgamesh as the major fights for Saber... wait a ****ing minute-, and directly continues Gil and Saber's character arcs from Zero.
Con: Kotomine's character is just blah as the main villian, The Matou subplot is dropped once Shinji is killed by Illya. Shirou is at his most insufferable.

I really do think it's most likely to be some sort of combination of the various routes rather than a straight adaptation of any single one

No, it's going to be all the food scenes fighting among each other for dominance. Mapo tofu is the final boss and will crush Shirou/Sakura Cooking Scene #43 into the dust.
