I am noticing a weird puritanical vibe from how Terra was written now that y'all are calling it to attention. Very strange, especially considering some of the other stuff Wolfman and Perez wrote in their time together on Titans.
Having just read the comic, I found the smoking to be so over-the-top it was funny cause she only did it when being evil and seemed to get the cigarettes from hammerspace.

The Protomen enhanced my life. It's like the gag in JLU where Flash-in-Luthor's-body does shit like not washing his hands "because I'm evil", except it's played totally straight.
Re: Terry Long:
Aside from the Sleazy 70's Guy look, and the age gap between Terry and Donna (including the mention that Terry started dating this teenager ten years their journey shortly after getting divorced), Terry's introductory issue has the guy do little besides openly oggle Starfire in front of Donna.
It's such a misguided introduction to a character we're meant to like.
Terry is def one of the bigger missteps of the Wolfman era of Titans. The Wolf/Perez run is the current definitive run on the Titans for a reason and has so many incredible highs, but when it hit lows, it went REALLY low, often in really fucked ways. The aforementioned weirdness with Terra and Terry, Danny Chase, etc.... that kind stuff is jammed randomly in the middle of some of the best stories in a DC comic ever.

If it was better written, there's an interesting story there of a young woman getting caught up in a disastrous relationship with a man too old for her.
Its interesting cause Donna married a civilian man with no connections to any superheroes. That is rather unique, the only Titans who actually married a civilian is Wally and thankfully that turned out better.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Ridley doesn't say Terra was completely blameless. It's argument is that Terra being abused by Slade should be acknowledged more.
Not only has Dick been raped three times but all three times had a non-white woman doing it. So we have this strange intersection of lack of empathy for men victims of sex crimes and DC's usual fetishizing of women of color. Also, two of these moments were written by Marv Wolfman.
Considering how contentious that issue from The Other History was, I'm not sure the portion of the fandom that finds Slade sleeping with Terra to be tasteless is that large. There still exists a significant number of people who think the Judas Contract as it was originally written holds up in its entirety.
IE look no further then Star Sapphire
where Carol has relasped one too many times that most people don't buy the Predator excuse
Hasn't the Star Sapphire as a villain thing always been a result of the stone possessing her?
Made a page for Aquaman (1994). Help filling it out is much appreciated cause it's the longest run the character's had.
The Protomen enhanced my life.
Half the time and then theres the half she lets it do it
but shhh you're not suppose to remember those times
____
That time when Power girl was an ancient Atlantean

- flops* Just made Aquaman (1962) and Aquaman (2003). The main runs have been catalogued!
My favorite thing about the birth of Aquababy is it was FIVE months after they got married, meaning...well, you know.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I found one of my new favorite single-issue stories ever: JLA #60, where Plastic Man tells Woozy Winks' nephew a bedtime story about Santa joining the JLA and battling Neron at Christmas.
It also has this adorable panel.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Spoilers on the new issue of Outsiders, haven't read it myself but apparently it takes away the happy ending of Planetary #27 as a meta statement or something
Gotta love Santa, the JL welcoming him into the League is such an adorable panel.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Just finished reading the new Outsiders and while I don't know anything about Planetary, Drummer (who reveals her name is Jakita Wagner) appears to pull out a copy of the graphic novel at the end of the episode. I think. The whole episode is very meta with a number of cameos. I got the most obvious ones Richard Dragon, Cave Carson & OG Superman (although I am not sure about the last two), and there appeared to be at least one Supergirl but don't know the others.

I never read Planetary, but overriding a happy ending just for the sake of making meta commentary is one of the worst things a writer can do if it's not done properly.
Fans are burning Tom Taylor in effigy.
This comes after a Twitter space called "Let's Kill Tom Taylor" was formed.
Oh my fucking God.
I dislike Tom Taylor as a writer but this is sick. What a bunch of a Goddamn psychos. Do we know why these people are so pissed?

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Take your pick. Is it because he writes Dick Grayson as incompetent? It is because he didn't put Dick with Kory despite having no control over that? Is it because he didn't make Barbara Gordon paralyzed, something he also has no control over? Is it because of that scene where Jon hugs Regime Superman? Or that time when he had Kory and Barbara be civil towards each other instead of being catty bratts?
Huh. The Tom Taylor stuff is awful, but now that you bring this up, how often have Kory and Barbara even met? Have they ever even worked together?
One Strip! One Strip! As far as I can recall, no. That particular complaint was fueled by Barbara apparently having made some disparaging comments about Kory in pre-Flashpoint continuity but that's just typical sexist writing of pitting women against each other over a guy. Even if Kory and Barbara had to be written as hating each other, I can think of more compelling reasons than jealousy/insecurity over Dick. The irony is that one of the biggest criticisms regarding how Barbara is written these days is that she comes across as infantilized, yet Taylor antis are mad that he didn't portray her and Kory like two teenagers fighting over a boy.
I'm genuinely baffled anyone would want Kory and Barbara feuding brought back. That shit was terrible.
I do like smoking as a character trait cause it adds a bit to their personality.
Not to glorify it but that it's just a thing people do not really caring about their own health. It's a bad habit.
Deadshot I can't imagine as not being a chain-smoker, it fits him too perfectly.
