That was just posted on the previous page.
It had a character use manspalaining unironically when he was asked why he was killing people while held by the lasso. That's not manspalaining. Not only did they use it unironically they used it wrong. And 77 is better than sensation on every way.
None of that has anything to do with the post by Alex de Campi.
except it does because that was a story in sensation. Im saying that 77 has a better diana than all of sensations stories.
More sexual harassment allegations? Oy vey. I knew comic book culture frequently has a "No girls allowed" element to it, but I never thought it'd be this bad...

Alex de Campi never talked about any of the stories in Sensation Comics. She was talking about the systemic sexual harassment in DC Comics and in other places. You are literally looking at the title of the post and not reading the rest of it at all.
Whoa, in response to De Campi's story, the writer Brian Wood made a tweet where he states he believes that there are at least twenty sexual harassers between DC and Marvel, whom editorial is covering for to save their own hides. He believes that at least some of them are bad enough to drive a woman to suicide.
Keep in mind Wood himself was accused of harassment last year, so he may or may not have an agenda.
Wood was accused of hitting on a woman and he owned up to it and apologized. The woman later stated that she had already forgiven him.
'That's how Luthor and the Joker ended up as Superman and Batman's worst enemies (despite the writers originally slating the Ultra-Humanite and Hugo Strange respectively for those roles).'
You know I'd like to see some sort of Elseworld's set in a world where these two did end up as their arch Nemesis.
Maybe with an off hand reference to the shady CE.O of Lexcorp and a really unsettling stand up comic.
In Generations it was revealed that Luthor was just one of the ultra humanites henchmen who put his brain into.
Huh. In the Final Crisis collected edition (which I just bought today), the final battle with Mandrakk was completely redrawn, to make him less of an Anticlimax Boss.
Did not know that.
Huh. Did the final battle not include the entire Green Lantern Corps stabbing him with a giant green stake? I don't know what could make that more epic.
It did, but in much less detail. In the original, the stake is rather small and is manifested directly into his heart. In the redrawn version it's bigger than Mandrakk himself and the Lanterns drive it in with an equally-large hammer.

@thatindiantroper
Honestly, I'm happy with as few appearances from the Ultra-Humanite as possible. He's such an archetypal Evil Cripple that it's frankly uncomfortable, and I'd be more than happy if they just stopped using him altogether.
Isn't he usually a gorilla-thing?
He's usually in an albino gorilla's body now, yeah.
Formerly KarmaMeter. He's a crippled scientist who transferred his consciousness into a gorilla's body.
Indeed. Except since he transferred his brain into an albino gorilla's body, he's now an albino gorilla instead of an evil cripple. And before that, he put his brain inside of a giant fly, and before that, an actress named Dolores Winters. The point is, Humanite hasn't been an Evil Cripple in a long, loooooooooooong time, so I don't see the problem here, unless your argument is that him even being an Evil Cripple in the first place is problematic by default.
More info about "Superman: Lois & Clark." I can't wait for the return of pre-Flashpoint Lois and Clark, written by Dan Jurgens who wrote some great adventures for them in the '90s. (I know he's written some...not-so-good stories recently, but I think he works better with the pre-Flashpoint characters.)
But geez, once Gotham by Midnight ends, I won't be buying that many DC comics. Only three: DC Bombshells, Starfire, and Superman: Lois and Clark.
Per his origin, his crippling is the reason he was mad at the world in the first place, and the reason why he sought out the ability to transplant his mind into new bodies. Accordingly I find it exceedingly difficult to dissociate the character from the Unfortunate Implications.
Say, is there any truth to that rumor that Final Crisis was going to be the reboot originally? I gotta say, that'd make a lot more sense.
I don't think so. I've never heard any interviews with Morrison or Dan Didio saying that was the case and the only time I've heard it is from other people who say it was "supposed" to be the reboot.
What about that rumor that the delays were due to J.G. Jones's wife having an affair with Didio? Was that just one of /co/'s stupid jokes?
Sensation Comics isn't flawless but I'd say that it's definitely the best WW comic right now given what we have to deal with from the Finches.
