I made a cheeseburger last night with the really good fresh-ground beef the one store here has. Put some onion flakes and Worchestershire sauce in when I cooked it, topped with cheddar and a nice big slice of tomato, on a sesame seed bun.
I don't make burgers too often but I like to use really good beef when I do.
Stupid doomed timeline...About freakin' time. As a fast food junkie this was a much needed addition.
The last burger I ate was a Big King from Burger King... I know it isn't a high quality burger or anything (if it even counts as a burger), but in my opinion it's miles above the Big Mac that it shamelessly rips off of.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaAs much as I dislike greasy, unhealthy food, Burger King's Bacon Cheeseburger is wonderful. Even though I could feel my arteries clogging with every bite. Despite all that, I believe it's not that much of an artery-clogger compared to others.

xxxxxxWelcome to paradise. Now go to hell.I wish that Bret's in Oxford was still there, and I lived near it. Some of the best burgers on earth.
A brighter future for a darker age.In terms of burgers, Drunk!Burger King is better than Drunk!McDonald's.

And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)
Drunk!Kebab shop licks them both though.
Personally, I'm of the Dagwood Sandwich school of burgers: bacon, cheese (blue preferred), crispy onions, and maybe a solitary lettuce leaf. Anyone here been to Wanaburger? It's a good place.

Schild und Schwert der ParteiBurgers? Nothing can beat a good Big John's down in the Concrete City and surrounds. But there's a really good indie place near Corp St that does brilliant burgers on the cheap.
Nobody here will know what I'm saying ;~~~;
(Also, I surprised that there are more Glaswegians on here than Londoners or Brummies, considering Glasgow is fourth-largest; Birmingham second; London largest).
Technically a Londoner (born there, went to college there), but don't remember any exceptional burgers there.
A brighter future for a darker age. There was an exceptional burger place near where I lived, but it sadly closed down.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseNear me now: Loretta's Northwesterner, a bar and burger restaurant nearby that makes godly burgers. Small menu, great food.
A brighter future for a darker age.I had homemade cheeseburgers at a friend's place today. With onions, sweet pepper, corn, mushroom, slice of pickled cucumber, lettuce and extra cheese. Delicious.
While I don't like take-away/restaurant burgers that much, I'm strangely weak to McDonalds and Burger King hamburgers. Probably because they're the cheapest lunch I can get out on town. The closest McD to my flat currently has Bacon Cheese for the introductory price of an ordinary hamburger, and those are dangerously good.

Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. The coolest burgers go a place called Burger! down in Santa Cruz.
My favorite of theirs has to go to one that has grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns above and below the burger, then chilly and cheese too.
They also had a glazed donut burger.
Speakin' of McDonald's, they recently added a BBQ Ranch Burger to the value menu. What appears to be BBQ Fritos and swiss cheese on top...
It's the single most disgusting thing I've ever eaten.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaAt first it sounded good, but then you described what was in it.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elserelevant. Has anyone ever gone there? I have a morbid curiosity about going there.
Oh, yes. I got it because I thought it had ranch dressing on it.inb4 Ranch Dressing thread
I remember seeing that on Travel Channel. I want to eat there, but I want to live... ooh, decisions...
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaGreat, like I need more heart disease.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseWell, you could run there, eat your burger, than run back home. That would balance it out.
I think running to Las Vegas would kill me faster than the grill.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseWell yeah, but you need to clear your body somehow.
Anyhow, gotta go.
Adios.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI'm a philistine. I like both Big Macs and the King Burger from Burger King. Mainly the Big Mac because thanks to vouchers at my local newsagents I can get one of them plus a portion of fries for one pound ninety nine on a fairly regular basis.
Morven - there's a few good places in London, such as one that serves lesser used meats in burgers, such as ostrich. Surprisingly light and a good eat, I don't think I've had anything quite as good when it comes to meats.
"Did you expect somebody else?"
We have a pizza thread,we have a soda thread,we even have a bacon thread (which is in the Covens for some reason),what fast-food meal is complete without a burger?
I'll start off by saying I haven't had any burgers since October. But I went weeks off just that for dinner. A little BBQ sauce and garlic powder for seasoning and jack cheese. Not bad at all.
And yes jack cheese is my choice for cheeseburgers.
Alright time to pass it on.
