They started selling Coca-Cola Life in the grocery stores here the other day. Haven't seen a single person buy it.

Also, anyone a fan of ramune? I've only managed to have three 8 oz bottles of the stuff in my entire life, but I loooove it. (I also found a restaurant here which sells it as "Japanese Sprite", with no refills :()

Is that a bad taste? :)

I had an entire six-pack of Vimto and still wasn't sure if I liked it or not.

OP was on point tbh. I looooooove Virgil's Root Beer, but more often than not my brand of choice is Barq's simply because it's the most readily available root beer that tastes good. (A&W is okay but not my favorite, and we do not mention that drink that PepsiCo advertises as a "root beer" in this household.)

Because even Barq's is kinda niche at most soft drink fountains where I live, though, I've also trained myself to enjoy Dr Pepper over the years.

Also if I ever get to go back to the United Kingdom or, even better, Canada, I'm going to buy myself as much of their Coca-Cola as I legally can transport back to the United States. American Coke is pretty good, but it has nothing on either variant.

Can't believe I didn't make like a good Michigander and mention the awesomeness that is Vernor's ginger ale.

Mountain Dew has a sangria flavor at some Taco Bells now along with the Baja Blast. I don't get it — I like Voltage, Code Red, White Out, Live Wire, and nearly every other specialty flavor of Dew I've ever had, but just a sip of regular Dew makes my stomach go "nope!"

I bought a metric buttload of Sprecher at a local home improvement store called Menards for $2.50 a four-pack just before Christmas. When that stuff's usually $2 a bottle, you bet your ass I'm going for it. I also tried all the other flavors. Blueberry is surprisingly good, as were cran-cherry (they only had a single bottle in a cooler, no four-packs), cola, cream soda, and orange cream soda. Cherry cola was all right, but it had too much cherry and too little cola. Apple was the only flavor I didn't care for; it just tasted like crappy apple juice. I also didn't try ginger ale (no way will anyone else's ginger ale ever stack up to Vernor's!) or grape (I don't like grape flavoring). I still have a ton of Sprecher's excellent root beer left over.

Target's snack bar sells San Pellegrino in various flavors. Blood orange is my favorite. Unfortunately, my nearest Target is closing.

Sparkling water is good in general. La Croix is a local brand that makes some really good sparkling water brands sold by the can.

Henry Weinhard's makes great orange cream soda. I get it all the time at a local pizza place that sells it.

There's a local health food store that sells Virgil's. I thought the root beer was really bland and herbal tasting. Not nearly as bad as Boylan's, which felt like I was drinking carbonated mud.

I like regular Monster. They also have a Cuba Libre flavor that I can only ever seem to find unreasonably far away (Cleveland is currently the closest I can find it, and I'm not driving 8 hours for any drink, no matter how good).

Would you believe that those gits from Hoop didn't release the usual Christmas Spice Cola this winter?! We're stuck with the shitty Plum Cola. Preposterous! That, and all Vanilla Coke in this sick sad country is imported, either from Germany or the US, and the prices on .33 cans imported from the US are highway robbery!

Reading through this thread makes me wish I could try Irn-Bru out at some point. (Maybe Orangina too.)

I myself am not huge on La Croix, it's kind of in that awkward middle ground between being a normal water and a carbonated soda. I'd probably like the flavors if they were sweetened, though; I know that defeats the purpose, but still.

I do like using it as a way to add a little CO2 to other drinks, though. It works particularly well with Hawaiian Punch, I've discovered.

Orangina is just carbonated orange juice with the bits in. Not bad, right enough, but every character in the French textbooks we used at school drank the stuff. :)

Ibeen drinking that Coke Life occasionally recently, but only for the novelty of a green label. And talking of labels, IG Barr are doing their version of Coke's names on bottles; tartan Irn Bru bottles: http://www.irn-bru.co.uk/all/clan-finder

Fruit punch Nos has become a daily drink for me, much to my nerves dismay. But hey I don't really drink pop (I'm from Ohio) anymore

I have strange taste.

I love milk and grape soda together.
