In general, when that happens the rest of the page is preserved in the page history, complete with all the source markup. The history is accessible through a button next to the edit button. You can copy and paste everything that was deleted back into the page.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.

Yipe! I was editing Crash Course Landing to get a Mythbusters reference into the correct namespace, but my connection glitched on me. Most of the page has now disappeared.
Is there any way to retrieve this, or will I be spending my next shot at a better-quality connection trying to reconstruct the page?
