Awesome... by complete coincidence, I just finished part 2 this evening.
Just finished it.
Noooo, Athena! At least she's alright, from what I can tell.
Oh God! Natural light!I was wondering why Brick and Mordecai were being so hostile to her. I guess this is when they haul her to Sanctuary so she can tell the story of the Pre-Sequel to Lilith.
Just finished it.
I'm loving this game so far. Disappointing how long the episodes take.
Edit: And yes. Gortys is the most adorable robot ever.

I am so glad I didn't watch the trailer until after I beat the episode: it spoilers most of the plot developments for the first 30 minutes of the chapter.
As Fiona:
- I refused to take Vallory's hand.
- I told Vallory that August was to blame. She cut his face with a knife.
- I told Athena to kill Cassius. Mostly because I didn't want to piss off the most powerful member of the party. A pity I didn't realize that Athena was way too strong to remain with the party for long.
As Rhys:
- I refused to trust Jack. He threatened to Grand Theft Me me.
- I tried not to let Sasha fall.
- I gave Sasha the flower (and picked the other flirty options.
Anyone else have a bad feeling about Gortys? Maybe she's the threat to Pandora General Pollux spoke of.
I blamed August, but I meant to blame Vasquez. Mixed up the names, mostly because I was thinking of him as Kronk. >.>
I meant to blame Felix, because honestly none of the problems would have happened had he not stolen the money. But something fucked up, either myself or the game (because a few seconds beforehand Vasquez' gun was floating a foot away from him) and picked August instead.
Poor guy.
I'll admit I didn't like the heavy Rhys/Sasha Ship Tease. Well, I have no problem with it by itself, it's great to have the option, the problem is that it's a little too easy to just stumble into it by accident when you're trying to be nice in general.
I like that Fiona is slowly evolving into a real Vault Hunter. Also Athena's casual "What? You think all this crap is impressive? Also, your gun sucks and here's a whole bunch of ammo."
Still not sure who the Stranger is. Like Fiona said, it's obviously someone they know, but it could just be someone they know of. Lilith is probably the most famous Vault Hunter right now, so it could be her.
Tagging just to be safe.
I say it's either Felix, or another character we'll meet later on. I was gonna guess Dr. Cassius, but he might end up dead if you chose so, so that doesn't make a lot of sense.
That masked dude at the start? My bet is on Axton.
“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson.Fiona made a point that the Stranger wouldn't be wearing a mask unless if they thought they'd be recognized. So, it has to be someone they interact with at some point.
Given that they're going to Helios next episode, I'm not 100% on Axton being around. But anything can happen.
Regarding Cassius: if you tell Athena to kill him, she gets interrupted by Brick. Cassius escapes and isn't seen again in the episode.
Also remember the timeline: The main game (the flashbacks) takes place shortly before the framing device for the Pre-Sequel, which means that Axton is most likely on Eptah with Gaige. So they probably wouldn't have a chance to meet Axton at any point.
Lilith didn't send anyone out to gather vault hunters before hearing Athena's story, from what I remember. The curent recap isn't placead anywhere in the timeline(?).

“You can’t be an important and life-changing presence for some people without also being a joke and embarrassment to others.” -Mark Manson. Here's the current timeline:
- 1: First game.
- 2: The events of the Pre-Sequel (not including the framing device).
- 3: Borderlands 2.
- 4: The events of Tales (not including the framing device).
- 5: The Pre-Sequel's framing device.
- 6: The Tales' framing device.
Lilith sent people out after 3, and Axton and Gaige only come back after 5. So they're definitely gone during 4, and are unlikely to meet Rhys and Fiona. Though on the other hand, Athena's interrogation only took place over an afternoon—a day at the most—so 4 could easily end up overlapping the timeline there, and they could meet Axton.
I think the Stranger is Vaughn. He's MIA at the end of the episode, after all. It's entirely possible he was working with Vallory, or something like that.
Oh God! Natural light!I have my doubts. It seems odd that he would ask to be told the story up until now if he was witness to all of those events.
I'm guessing its a character we haven't met yet. Or maybe its August?
I was legit shocked when she just shot Vasquez in the chest. I was also shocked when everyone abandons Vasquez's super-expensive gun.
Nah, Vaughn's too short to be the Stranger. Not a lot of people who are around Rhys' height (maybe taller). The Stranger seems about that height him/herself.
Also can't be Felix, since he's shorter than Fiona.
Maybe he's wearing special shoes to make himself look taller?
Maybe he's having them go through the whole story to keep them from realizing it was him. The Stranger has already gone to great lengths to conceal their identity, after all.
Also, yeah, that was pretty shocking. I suppose there really wasn't anywhere to go with his character after the last episode.
Rule one in settings like these: ALWAYS LOOT THE BODIES!

Oh God! Natural light! In ep 1, does Felix die if you don't warn him? If there's a chance for him to die, he can't be the stranger.
Also where did we get the name for the Stranger? I had been thinking of him as "the nomad guy" until I checked this thread.

I think that's their name in the credits. They're voiced by Roger L. Jackson.
And, yes, Felix can die in episode 1. In fact, after playing it 3 times, I've never felt the desire to warn him and make sure he survives.
Huh, true.
I think it's part that he's an actual stranger and part that he's voiced by the guy who voiced The Stranger from the Walking Dead series?
He only voiced The Stranger over the radio as far as I'm aware.
And, well, what else do you call them? Plus 'The Stranger' kind of fits BL's very Western kind of influences.
BTW, Did anyone buy an Character Outfits from the Vendor?
So, if this tweet is anything to go by, we're probably getting episode 3 soon.
