Eddie's New RP Thread Policy

That's a bad idea. You just eliminated all Magical Girl characters from the forum. Characters from Avatar: The Last Airbender have to go too. Many anime protagonists are gone.

At least everyone's being pretty level headed about this.

I do like the idea of a big forum for all of us to move to if necessary, but yeah, just being vigilant should hopefully be enough to prevent that from being a necessity.

Somehow I really doubt it'll come to that.

People will point ant laugh at the fact that we needed this policy in the first place, which I wholly support, but I don't think it'll go any further.

Let's make this clear

This thread is meant to be a place to rationally discuss the correct course of action regarding the decision.

Though we may disagree with the course of action chosen, this is not the place to whine, complain or attack our Admin. We are going to discuss this with cool heads and reach a logical solution.

I'm not saying anyone was necessarily doing this, I just want to preemptively end anything inappropriate to the discussion.

Have time skips or age ups for stuff like that. Even Magical Girls what counts as "young girls" is kept vague.

That... is an excellent question. Regardless, he's been wanting a reason to get rid of it for a while.

So... how many in favour of a similar layout we have, rather than breaking off into several smaller groups?

Pros for doing this: More organised.

Cons: Less power for individual threads, and individual people who look over those threads.

I prefer this layout myself.

It's very organized and works well.

Aye. I like TV tropes as a community, and the last two times I've had to split off really sucked.

Again, that idea is exactly the same as Eddie saying he'll nuke the RP forums if there's one pedo character. You're banning all characters under the age of 16- which are a lot, and you can't just age up or timeskip them- just because one player did one bad thing.

If another forum's made, just the one of them. Rather than every roleplay getting stuck with a reference pool of itself.

The issue is if ONE player does a bad thing all of this is gone. It's extreme but it may be nessecary.

Well.. i think that a nuke is going to happen if we clean up or not. it just a matter of time. so i say that if the bigger games are going to be saved then 2-3 member of that game should do it.

So your idea is to ban all characters under the age of 16? That's like stubbing your toe and deciding the best solution is to cut off the lower half of your body.

@Spazzer: I've had a few ideas about potential layouts for a while, actually... Basically, I would say that seperate sections for Fandom RPs, Multifandom RPs, Original RPs, and WAOA and it's spinoffs would be a good start.

And of course it's counter-productive if Eddie actually wants the pedophiles reported? Behavior that people would normally instantly report will go unreported because no one wants to lose the entire subforum.
