27.1 work, but the explosion is tiny. 27.3 is a macro. 27.2 and 27.4 misses the video game part of the trope.

27.1 is okay, 27.3 is better (without the text, crop it out if you're suggesting it) but 17.2 and 17.4 are both just burning barrels, not exploding. Someone might ding me for literalism but it's barrels that explode, not much wiggle room for flexibility.

It makes a huge difference. That's not bad quality, it's low res.
"Blurred/pixelated/artifacted/etc (image quality issues) = objective criticism; "the game looks like that, and I don't like the way it looks" = subjective criticism.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I'm assuming you are referring to the DOOM pics?

Yes, responding to the statements that "it doesn't matter" and "it doesn't make a difference". It does matter. Criticizing something for being low native res is exactly the same as criticizing something for being drawn in crayon. I totally understand that style affects whether or not someone likes something, but the specific phrase "low quality" means objective flaws in image quality, like graininess, blur, compression artifacts, and so on. The DOOM images are not low quality.
Kind of like "eat more fiber" is a suggestion, but in the context of IP, the word "suggestion" specifically refers to an image link. Context matters.

I still think the DOOM barrels are the explodiest while still showing the barrels.
Check out my fanfiction!@27: I think a lot comes down upon whether downplayed barrell fires are still this trope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI kind of like that it's an Exploding Barrel, but not a barrel exactly, in 30.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I remember in Command and Conquer Generals there was an opening bit where a Humvee hit this truck labeled "REALLY EXPLOSIVE"
If anyone can find a still of the truck that'd be nice I think.
Oh really when?Bump.
Crowner?
Crowner.
Bump for votes.
This is ready to call. The new pic's up, potholed, and tagged, and the Image Links page is set up. Caption or no?
no caption is fine the image is clear enough.
But, "Those aren't crackers in those barrels!" and
"Careful Bond! those barrels ARE NOT filled with water!"
Are what first came to mind. Along with something like a barrel of laughs.

Moving on.
No consensus on a caption; locking up.
