Well, see here. Koishi is an empty shell. No thoughts, no emotions. She wanders around with that serene smile on her face, noticed by no one, remembered by no one. The One Ring on the under hand has bound to it a considerable amount of Sauron's will and power, and wants to be found. If Koishi found it and put it on, (something she is liable to do), it would most likely simply override her will and replace it with it's own.

Which basically means you're not playing Koishi, but Sauron in the form of a cute girl.
Because Koishi's natural abilities are a lesser form of what Sauron made it for (outright mind control).

Oh well, I worded myself a bit wrongly there, but that is the gist of it I suppose.
The Ring was made to safeguard and bolster Sauron's powers, dominate all the other rings, and aid him in his mission to dominate all life on Middle-earth. Koishi's ability is to manipulate the subconscious of those around her, she is unable to directly affect their conscious minds.

I don't want to leave it nameless, it... just doesn't have a nice ring to it.
The reason why it needs a name it's because this is a supposedly big city, the New York of its universe. You guys have the final word, but... I like Beacon City. Might be going with that.

If it doesn't have a lighthouse, it is consequently terribly named. 
And I'm not proposing that it be nameless, just No Name Given.

Let's see, in order to fit Koishi and the ring into the setting, what would I have to do?
My knowledge of the Marvel Universe is fairly limited, I've seen the recent movies though. Apparently the Tesseract and the Ether are unique objects from very long ago? Could I have the One Ring be one as well?
Oh, and Koishi got her ability to escape Thor and the Asgardians, whom she used to hate, but now is unable to, for obvious reasons.
