I also started a page for anyone who wants to edit.
So, thoughts?
I admit, it starts off very dark for a manga of it's genre, (At least by today's standards), and I'm liking the main character beoming something akin to Sparda in terms of being a hero of demonic origin, and his first fight in both the original oneshot and the main series kick ass.

Watch SymphogearNot bad. I'm not sure how it fits on the cynicism/idealism scale, though. Sure, lots of people are dead, but none of his friends or family members are confirmed killed, and he wins his first fight pretty much just with Heroic Willpower.
Not that I'm saying it's a bad thing. I prefer more idealistic stories. I'm just saying don't toss it into the same genre as Death Note quite yet.
The one-shot got very sad near the end.
The first chapter's good. I hope everyone he knows is alright.
I also hope that it doesn't get the axe.
Well, it at least has time. It was chosen from the Jump Versus one-shots, which means people voted for it, so it shouldn't sink immediately.
Plus Hachi and Yakeno will likely end first. After those do, though, all bets are off, since the next-newest series, World Trigger and Soul Catcher(s), have gotten fairly stable ranks, and Shueisha's doing their best to push both without an anime.
Haven't bothered to read this yet. I will if it lives long enough to last ~20 chapters or so.

I definitely like the main character. I thought that the Pilot was more depressing, but slightly less powerful by making him the chosen one.
The first chapter feels more like a personal victory for him and is slightly less bitter overall. I loved the chalkboard being used as a motivator, it was a nice touch.
It caught my interest, that's for sure.
One Strip! One Strip!I also liked the first chapter, despite the crude exposition.
I have a feeling more than a little of that exposition is going to turn out to be wrong later; I mean, the criminal guy was saying that a pure demon like Teppei was basically just an animal, and he was immediately proven wrong. So it's obviously a biased point of view making assumptions without all the facts.
I think that the pure demons only become true monsters if they have a weaker will and gave up as soon as they realized what was happening to them. Teppei was thinking more about others than himself, and gave himself a noble kind of purpose, and that may be what allows him to keep his humanity.
It'd be interesting to see if something similar happened to his father, or if Teppei could "convert" other demons back into people.
Well, obviously the demon dude was biased. His exposition is still crude, though, up to tour guide levels.
I read it as the criminal rubbing the destruction of the entire city in Teppei's face as to why he was being so blunt, or him trying to act as a "teacher" of some kind.
Second chapter is up.
Kid is really getting into the spirit, but it's tough going it seems.
When he's mixing it up, he runs the risk of getting himself killed through overheating. When he plays it safe, he takes too long and people he could have helped die.
And now, a random bunny girl with ice powers appears….. What?
One Strip! One Strip!Bunny girl!
Watch SymphogearHello, random ice bunny. I will both laugh and cry if she turns into an enemy somehow.
A bunny with ice powers. Interesting combo. But she stands out sooo much!
I'll be frank, I liked the "I'm all alone in this world so I'll talk to myself so I don't go crazy" monologue. I wish there was more of it. It would be pretty cool to have a fighting shonen where the main character is almost entirely talking to himself.
Chapter 3 is up.
Well that was inevitable.
One Strip! One Strip!I'm not worried about Teppei losing to acid fool over there. I'm more worried about the people's ultimate reaction to Teppei after the battle.
Lets be frank: there's only one possible reaction.
What I want to know is if he can convince them that he's not evil or a monster, or if he'll be completely rejected by other humans.
There's not much of a clue as where this series falls on the scale quite yet.
One Strip! One Strip!Chapter 4 up
Hmm.
Interesting.
That didn't go as badly as I expected truthfully. They didn't violently reject him, except for his friend, and that seems like it will be a short lived thing.
And it looks like Ice bunny girl has shown up too. And she's clearly a Misanthrope who probably has a Freudian Excuse for wanting to avoid other humans. probably like she was mistreated when she was still a normal human, so fuck them all or something like that. The usual shit.
One Strip! One Strip!Well... At least the folks weren't that quick to reject him. Teppei's friend might come around later, too.
It's the bunny girl's human form. What? Her name should be a giveaway.

Seemed to me she was pulling a Secret Test of Character. If he had actually been like "You're right, thanks for opening my eyes, now I'm going to murder everyone," I think she would have tried to stop him, or at least not stuck around.
Has anyone read this?
Both the original oneshot and first chapter have been scanlated right now.
